📸Closing This Chapter | 2019-2026 🤍

This is a post I never really thought I would have to write, but after a lot of thought, reflection and honestly, a lot of mixed emotions, I have made the decision to officially close the doors to Photography by Ciara Davis.

Seven years of picking up my camera, meeting incredible people, capturing milestones, watching families grow, celebrating engagements, birthdays, couples, babies, graduations, and so many other special moments. Seven years of learning, growing, making mistakes, trying new things, building relationships, and creating memories that I hope my clients will be able to look back on for years to come.

When I first started this business in 2019, I never imagined it would become such a meaningful part of my life. I never expected to meet as many wonderful people as I did or have so many people trust me with some of the most important moments in their lives.

To everyone who ever booked with me, shared my work, recommended me to a friend, entered a giveaway, liked a post, left a kind review, encouraged me, or simply followed along, Thank you. You have no idea how much that support has meant to me over the years. 🤍

Unfortunately, I have reached a point where I have to be honest with myself. Photography just isn't within my heart anymore and while that is incredibly difficult for me to admit, I also know that continuing something simply because I've been doing it for seven years wouldn't be fair to myself or the people who trust me with their memories.

I know that I want to take my life and creativity in a different direction. What that direction looks like, I honestly don't know yet. And for once, I'm trying to be okay with not having all of the answers.

Maybe I'll discover something completely new. Maybe I'll find another creative outlet that makes me feel the way photography once did. Maybe I'll take some time to simply breathe and figure things out. Whatever comes next, I'm excited to see where it leads me.

Closing this chapter doesn't mean I don't appreciate everything that came before it. In fact, I think that's exactly why this decision is so hard. This business has been a part of my life for seven years, and I will always be grateful for the memories, friendships, experiences, and lessons that came with it.

Most importantly, thank you for seven incredible years. Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your stories and trusting me to freeze pieces of your lives in time.

I may be putting the camera down, but I don't think the creativity, memories, and people I've met along the way will ever leave me.

Here's to letting go of what no longer feels right, being open to whatever comes next, and closing one chapter so another one can begin. 🤍

🤍 A Little Life Update 🤍

Hi Everyone,
I wanted to check in because I never want to leave anyone wondering where I've been.

The Family emergency that led me to step away from photography is thankfully starting to calm down. While things are improving, this break has been something I truly needed.

Right now, I'm still taking time for myself and my family. To be completely honest, I'm not sure whether I'll be returning to Photography or not. That is still a decision I'm working through, and I hope you can understand that I need a little more time before I know what the future holds.

Please don't let that worry you if you currently have a session booked with me or if you won one of my recent giveaways. Those sessions will absolutely still be honored. I have not forgotten about you, and I am working on getting back in touch with each of you as soon as I can.

I know I've been quiet, and I sincerely apologize if it's felt like I've been ignoring anyone. That has never been my intention. Life has simply placed a lot of my plate all at once.

All I ask is for a little more patience and understanding while I work through everything. Your Kindness, support, and encouragement over the years have meant more to me than you'll ever know, and I truly appreciate every single one of you.

📸 An Important Update from Photography by Ciara Davis 📸

Hi everyone, I wanted to take a moment to make a post that I had been meaning to write much sooner. Unfortunately, due to an ongoing family emergency, life has been incredibly overwhelming these past several days. My family has needed my full attention, and because of everything happening, I've fallen behind on messages, scheduling, and other photography related tasks.

First and foremost, if you were one of the winners of my recent giveaway, please send me a text message if you haven't already. I promise I have not forgotten about you! I simply ask for a little extra patience and understanding while I work through everything that's going on. If I don't respond right away, please know it is not intentional.

The best way to reach me during this time is by text message at (863)316-2500. While I may not always be able to answer immediately, texting is the quickest and easiest way for me to keep track of everyone's messages, and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

After giving it a lot of thought, I've made the difficult decision to pause booking and any new photography sessions until further notice (unless you are a giveaway winner). I never like having to step away from doing something I truly love, but right now my family needs me, and I need to be present for them. I want every client to receive the time, care, and attention they deserve, and at this moment I simply wouldn't be able to give that.

To anyone who has reached out recently, is waiting on a response, or was hoping to book a session, I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Your support means the world to me, and I truly appreciate your grace, patients, and understanding during this unexpected season of life.

Photography has allowed me to meet so many incredible people, and I am beyond grateful for every single one of you who has trusted me to capture your memories. Your kindness, encouragement, and support have never gone unnoticed.

As things begin to settle down, I will post updates here on my page regarding when bookings will reopen. Until them, I simply ask for your continued patience, your understanding, and if you are someone who prays, I would truly appreciate your prayers for my family during this difficult time.

Thank you all so much for your love, support, and understanding. I look forward to being back behind the camera as soon as I'm able.
