While making photos for Madeira Beach Burger Week for the City of Madeira Beach, I had an idea...

I wasn’t able to carve out the time to tell the stories of all 18 restaurants participating this year, but when I learned Chef Bill at the Cambria Hotel St. Petersburg - Madeira Beach has been at this game for more than 62 years, I knew there was a story worth telling.

So I asked him to tell us a little more about the burger he created for this year’s Burger Week.

Hope you get out and try all 18 burgers and experience just a small taste of what makes this little town on Florida’s Gulf Coast so special.

Big thanks to Chef Bill for letting me invade his kitchen for an hour and tell me about this Hawaiian Burger he's cooked up!

Honored to be part of a winning team with the City of Madeira Beach’s special events team.

Their recognition by the Florida Festivals and Events Association this summer is a wonderful reflection of the creativity, collaboration and hard work that goes into producing these events.

I’m especially grateful for the trust and opportunity to contribute to the marketing and PR efforts—and to help create work that connects with people and delivers results on behalf of the City of Madeira Beach.

Of the four awards the team received, I’m proud to have played a role in two:

1st Place for the TV Commercial for the 2025 John’s Pass Seafood Festival and 2nd Place for Facebook Marketing.

Awards are always nice, but I’m even more appreciative of the people there who make the work possible.
