One of my shelter dogs gained her angel wings today. I want to personally thank California Bully Rescue for seeing her magic, pulling her from shelter life and giving her the life she always deserved. I knew her as Shiloh, but she was Bitsy to CBR. She loved other dogs more than anything. But her little body was sick and her time earth side was too short.
I’d like to ask anyone able, to make a donation to CBR in Bitsy’s honor so they can continue to save shelter dogs like Bits and give them the lives they deserve.

For the third year in a row, I was privileged to capture the Fourth of July comfort sessions at Bradshaw Animal Shelter. Thanks to the community, the dogs and cats of the shelter heard stories, music and enjoyed a little extra company while fireworks were lighting up the night sky. Additionally, some shelter volunteers made patriotic pupsicles, and all the dogs enjoyed a cool treat.
Thank you to Bradshaw for making this event happen and to everyone who chose to spend their holiday with the animals.

Two years of volunteering at Bradshaw Animal Shelter. Two years of meeting amazing dogs and cats. Two years of being able to capture all breeds and all personalities. Getting to be a part of their stories and loving them while they wait for their next chapter has been the greatest gift. I look forward to continuing my volunteer journey and meeting more amazing animals along the way.

Meet Alyssa | A915346 | Bradshaw Animal Shelter • Sacramento, Ca
A sweet girl with a sassy side, Alyssa is in search of a home with no other animals and no kiddos. She has a lot of love to give, will come in for head butts and pets, but also is known as a love biter. She will need a patient, cat savvy adopter, who understands when a girl needs her space. She does have a bite history and her adopter will have to sign a waiver that they are aware of this.
But she has come a long way, and with the right home, patience and time, Alyssa will be the best friend to her new human. She has a silly side and knows what a pretty girl she is.
She is available for adoption at Bradshaw Animal Shelter.

I am always honored when someone asks me to capture their pets. But when someone asks me to capture their best friend at the end of their life, that’s the biggest honor. Big Orange Cat was actually born out of an end of life session. Since then, I have had the honor of spending time with two more incredible animals who’s body decided it was time.
Dyson’s mom, Sarah, reached out last week to see if could come and capture some images of Dyson. We spent Friday night, during golden hour, playing with toys, giving Dyson whip cream, watching the neighborhood cats and enjoying some Vanilla ice cream courtesy of a good friend and
It was a special night that I’ll carry with me for always. Being able to provide Sarah with these images of her precious boy enjoying his last night earth side is something I don’t take lightly. When I met Guppy in December, I never imagined one of her images we took would end up on a beer can. She’s one of my favorite fosters that helped find a forever with. She’s something magic. She is living the best life with .head.boys - completely worth a follow ❤️

🚨🚨Gertie needs a hero! She is currently on FINAL PLEA through May 6, 2026🚨🚨

🐾At just barely two years old, Gertie is an enthusiastic lady with a degree in goofiness and love. She is a solid little meatball who is excited any time a human comes to see her. It has been noted that she wags her tail so much, it may just fall off.

🐾If you’re looking for a girl that loves that sweet spot above her tail scratched, Gertie is your girl. Have dog treats and no one to share them with? Gertie has you covered. Slobbery kisses and fluent in gremlin? You guessed it, Gertie. She is also an aspiring model who will sit for the camera and smile at you.

🐾She has a lot of energy, but that’s partially because her personality is too big for a shelter kennel. She will need time to decompress, but when she takes a breather to relax, you will find her on your lap looking for belly rubs.

🐾Gertie may do best as an only pup. This cutie pie has participated in shelter playgroups and wasn’t interested in making friends right now cause humans are way more fun. She mostly loved introducing herself to every human in the yard and showing off her adorable smile.

Butch was the longest resident at
Yesterday, he got adopted by a lovely woman who came just to meet him. There’s a misconception with long time resident dogs. People assume there’s something wrong with them. But they are just waiting for their homes too. None of us could understand why Butch was there so long. He is a gentle giant, who’s polite and easy going. But he was there so long because his family hadn’t come in yet. And yesterday they did.
Don’t overlook the ones who may be a little older. The ones who might look scary. They might just be your forever. I’m so happy I got to know and love Butch and that I was there to walk him out of the shelter. Congratulations buddy ❤️
