For Jax's photo session we went to a local park in the Sacramento area. We spent some time taking portraits down by the water (his happy place) and then we did some photos with his mama on the green lawn. We captured so many fun photos... but this is the one that I can not stop looking at... it's the one I would print large to see every day.

It's common that my favorite captures happen near the end of a photo session, when the subject is relaxed and the light is just right.

I'll share more of the fun portraits from his session soon.

Album shipping day is exciting … and a bit emotional, if I’m being honest. 🥹

Albums hold a clients favorite images… the ones they want to remember forever. I carefully and thoughtfully design each one. Then the client gets to preview the design proof (changes are made until we get it just perfect for them). Sometimes the process is fast and sometimes it can take quite a bit of time… but my philosophy is that it is always worth taking the time because the goal is for the album to be cherished for a lifetime.

In recent months I’ve been working on several albums… and it just so happened that six of them are ready to ship within the same week. Sending them off feels emotional because we’ve worked meticulously on the computer but now it’s here in physical form. It’s real. Ready to lay in their lap, hands flipping through the pages, reliving the memories… for a lifetime.

I’ll share more photos and stories about these albums in the coming weeks.

My heart is full.
