I love it when I can capture a newborn awake, especially during parent and family pictures. Little A gave us both some wide awake and super sleepy shots, and I love them all! And this backdrop is giving me serious fall vibes. Speaking of fall, I am pretty much booked for weekend sessions in September, October, and November. Those last few weeks before baby arrives, so full of anticipation and excitement! So honored to have captured this sweet season. Things are about to get busy around here. I took a couple weeks off in early August, but we are going into the fall, and soon I will barely be able to keep my calendar straight. But so honored to capture so many lovely families!

I just love this simple, antique set up to celebrate M’s first birthday. And it was paid homage to a picture of her mother around the same age with the same family heirloom jewelry box. Photo shoots don’t have to be elaborate. Sometimes the most simple set ups best capture the special milestones. Of course I’m all in for elaborate set ups as well. I love it all! :)
