Please join us this Friday evening at 6:00pm as we dedicate the Purple Heart Memorial at the Person County Veterans Park located at 316 S. Morgan St Roxboro NC. We are inviting all Purple Heart Recipients to join us as well to help with the dedication.

The new school year is right around the corner. Our Event Center will open its doors Wednesday - Friday from 9am-3pm starting Wednesday July 22nd until Friday August 7th, 2026. If you would like to donate supplies for our local Person County School Teachers, Roxboro Community School Teachers and Bethel Hill Charter School Teachers we will the donation center location. Our community has always supported our great teachers. Our teachers will be invited to come get the supplies they need on Sunday August 9th from 1pm-3pm at no charge to them. This is a community effort. Please consider donating some supplies. Use front entrance when bringing supplies.

Just a reminder that we will be hosting an Open House from 11am-2pm tomorrow (Saturday June 6, 2026) in conjunction with DAV Person County Chapter 72, Person Veterans Council, American Legion Riders Post 138, NC , the Panetta Event Center at Post 138 and the Person County Veterans Mafia. The Person County Register of Deeds will be onsite to register Veterans DD214s at no charge. This event is open to all Veterans and the general public. Come out and see what resources are here in Person County for our Veterans and our community. We ask that all Post 138 members be at the Post at 9am if possible. We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow (Saturday June 6, 2026)

This Saturday. 11am-2pm. 218 Chub Lake St. Roxboro NC. All Person County Veteran Organizations will have information booths set up inside Post 138. The Person County Register of Deeds will be onsite registering VETERANS DD214 for no charge. This event is open to all honorably discharged Veterans and the General Public. Light Refreshments will be available.

Post 138 will be opening its doors to all honorably discharged US Veterans and the General Public on Saturday June 6, 2026 from 11a-1p!!! Come join us and find out what all the Veteran Organizations are about here in Person County. DAV Person County Chapter 72, Person Veterans Council, American Legion Riders Post 138 and the Person County Veterans Mafia will all be present and have information tables set up. The Person County Register of Deeds Office will be present to register Veteran’s DD 214s free of charge. This is very important for Veterans to have their 214s on file and let their family members know that. Together Veterans are stronger! Today is May 1, 2026. The start of Military Appreciation Month. Boots have been placed on the quarterdeck at the Person County Veterans Park to remember those who served in our military and gave the ultimate sacrifice for our great nation. They will stay in place until the last day of May. This display and our reflection pool will always prove that Person County will never forget our fallen heroes.
