“I could never spend that much money on pictures of myself.”

I get it. Truly.

Most women I photograph have spent decades putting everyone else’s needs ahead of their own. They’ve paid for weddings, vacations, college tuition, family photos, and a thousand other things without thinking twice.

But spending that kind of money on THEMSELVES? That’s a different conversation.

And I think that’s worth talking about.

Because these aren’t just pretty pictures.

They’re photographs of a woman who has lived. Who has loved, raised families, built careers, experienced loss, navigated changes in her body, and maybe forgotten somewhere along the way that she’s still allowed to feel beautiful.

You don’t need bo***ir photos to prove your worth.

But you are absolutely allowed to want them.

You’re allowed to invest in something that celebrates you, even if it serves no practical purpose. Even if nobody else understands why it’s important to you.

And years from now, when you look at those photographs, I hope you see what I saw through my camera.

A woman who was worth celebrating all along. ❤️

Sometimes women book a bo***ir session as a gift for their partner.

And I love that.

But can I tell you something?

Some of my favorite sessions are the ones women do entirely for themselves.

Not because someone else wants to see them in lingerie.

Not because they need anyone's approval.

But because they want to see themselves in a way they haven't before.

And sometimes the most meaningful person you can give those photographs to…

Because most women who walk into my studio have never done anything like this before.

You don't need to know how to pose, where to put your hands or how to make that sexy face.

That's MY job.

Funny how we can look back at a photo from 10 years ago and see a beautiful woman we couldn’t appreciate at the time. And here we are, doing the same thing to ourselves all over again. A loving wife AND someone who wants something just for herself.

A successful professional AND someone who loves getting dressed up in lingerie.

You can be strong and vulnerable.

Confident and nervous.

Soft and a little wild.

Women are wonderfully complicated creatures.

You don't have to choose just one version of yourself.

Oh, how often I hear this.

Funny how we can justify everyone else's needs, wants and little luxuries.

But when it's our turn?

Suddenly we need a committee meeting and a PowerPoint presentation. 😂

Here's your reminder that doing something wonderful for yourself doesn't take anything away from the people you love.

You're allowed to be on the receiving end sometimes, too. ❤️

How many pictures are there of your kids? Your husband? Your dogs? Your vacations?

Now how many beautiful photographs are there of YOU?

Not the rushed selfie.

Not the group photo where you're hiding in the back.

Just you.

Feeling beautiful. Confident. Completely yourself.

You deserve to exist in photographs, too.

And not just as the person holding the camera. ❤️

The changing waistline. The unpredictable moods. The body that suddenly seems to have its own agenda.

And somehow we're supposed to just roll with it? 😂

I hear you.

But here's what I want you to remember.

Your femininity didn't expire when your hormones started misbehaving.

Neither did your sensuality.

And you are absolutely allowed to feel sexy in this chapter of your life. ❤️

Marriages end. Relationships change. The future you imagined takes a completely different turn.

And suddenly you're figuring out who you are outside of a life you spent years building.

You don't have to have all the answers.

You don't even have to feel particularly confident yet.

But maybe this next chapter deserves to begin with a little celebration of YOU. ❤️

Remember when getting dressed up was FUN?

When you'd try on something fabulous just because it made you feel pretty?

Somewhere between work, laundry, carpools and figuring out what's for dinner, that woman got a little less attention.

Well, I think she's overdue for some playtime.

A little lace. Some fabulous heels. Gorgeous hair and makeup.

And absolutely nowhere you need to be except right here, enjoying yourself. ❤️
