The amazing plumage of a Roseate Spoonbill while preening.
Their bright pink and magenta feathers come from their diet. They eat crustaceans like shrimp and crayfish, as well as small fish, which are rich in natural pigments called carotenoids.

Male Ruby-throated Hummingbird really showing off his names sake.
They weigh only about 3 grams (roughly the weight of a penny or a tenth of an ounce) and measure about 3 inches long with a 4-inch wingspan, yet they fly thousands of miles to migrate.
They can hover in place, fly backward, move upside down, and stop instantly from speeds reaching up to 30 mph.

American Bittern sneaking up through the grass to grab a Crawfish. They are masters at moving slowly and are so good a camouflage. This video took hours to get since this Bittern staid very low in the grass and rarely came out.
