To the sponsors and the WIPA Philadelphia board I am in awe of your efforts and proud to support you as VP.

When people ask what’s the point of this my answer is to simply look around the room. It is so rewarding to uplift those who facilitate the celebration of others to finally celebrate themselves. Jelo up there on stage? What a gift to witness that.

My own time spent supporting these events is a small act of attempting to give back to an industry that has given me everything (including meeting my wife and the better half of what we do, Claire). And candidly, it’s fun to work hard and learn new skills alongside your friends. I am so proud of us and I hope everyone had the absolute best time. 

…my only regret is I forgot to crowd surf. 🤣

Blakely and Lawson’s wedding day began with storm clouds rolling across the Gulf, sideways rain, and tornado watches lighting up our phones.

And then, just before the ceremony as Blakely met her father to walk down the aisle, the skies cleared and gifted us all with beautiful golden light as she walked down the aisle to meet Lawson. A magical moment to have witnessed and an incredible weekend celebrating alongside some of the most warm and welcoming people imaginable.

Taking a moment to reflect on our week at . This three-day gathering was truly a meeting of the brightest minds across the wedding industry and an opportunity to reconnect with people we already love, and to form new friendships with creatives we were lucky to be meeting for the first time. Claire may have been mistaken for at least three times a day (an occupational hazard when the height and hair sort of match). But beyond the laughs, the conversations and connections were a powerful reminder of why we love this industry so much. The people. You are all wonderful, friendly, down to earth, and know how to throw a wonderful party.

To top it all off, S+A’s wedding went live on right as the week kicked off (lucky timing). All around, it was an incredibly special week. One that left us feeling grateful, inspired, and proud of the community we’re part of and the teams of people who make this work possible.

Now we’re back home, fully energized and excited for what 2026 has in store.
