Ahead of Maddy and Reed’s wedding weekend, a look back at their engagement session at Reed’s grandparents’ home in the Hamptons, with a few film frames mixed in from an old Olympus point-and-shoot just for fun.

They were crowd surfing while it poured outside. 
Rain was in the forecast for Sarah and Andrew’s day at Blue Hill, so we pivoted when our weather apps said it would hit us directly. Then pivoted again when it did, already having scouted every nook on the property that might give us cover. And when we realized we’d have a few moments in only a drizzle, we ran out into the rain without a care in the world.  
And then the sun broke out right as they walked into cocktail hour in the garden.  
The best moments often come from the parts that don’t go to plan. You just need the right team, a few backup plans, and the right energy in the room so you still want to crowd surf in the end. 🌊

When the fashion and the design are this good, our job as photographers is just to not get in the way. 
Holly and Chase gave us the gift of three days together. A gift of trust, of letting us do our thing. The vibe, the details, the whole atmosphere was magnetic and a joy to photograph. And the wedding day itself? An absolute rager. It was impossible to pick 20 frames for this post, apologies in advance for the future overshare.
