1. The Reluctant Partner - I always ask for a little team spirit from everyone—especially the spouses who might rather be watching the game! I promise to make it quick, easy, and completely painless, but I need you to bring your best smile so we can capture the joy your family sees in you every day. Please make sure you prep your spouse and kids with expectations for a fun and playful experience!
2. The Stressed-Out Micromanaging - I gently ask parents to step out of the ‘director’s chair.’ When you’re worrying about the kids sitting perfectly still or saying cheese, it takes away from the fun. Let me handle the silly noises and the chasing—your only job is to relax, laugh, and love on your babies.
3. The Beat-The-Clock Rush - I really encourage arriving a few minutes early. Golden hour light fades so fast, and kids need a moment to settle into a new space. Staying on schedule means we never have to rush the magic, and everyone gets to stay calm and happy.
4. The Negative Self-Talk - My sessions are a strictly body-positive, self-love zone! It breaks my heart when parents pick themselves apart during a shoot. Your kids see you as the center of their universe, and I see you as beautiful—so let’s leave the inner critic at home and focus on the love.
5. The “Perfect” Dynamic (Expecting Perfect Behavior) - I don’t expect ‘perfect’ behavior from your little ones. If there’s a meltdown, a messy face, or a wild toddler who just wants to run—take a deep breath! Some of the most beautiful, authentic photos come from the chaotic, unscripted moments. Real is always better than perfect.

Repeat after me: Perfection is boring. 🗣️

If you wait until they “listen better” to book your family photos, you’re missing out on documenting the most beautiful, messy, and fleeting years of their childhood.

I’ve photographed hundreds of families, and I’ll tell you a secret: The “chaos” makes for the best photos. I don’t need them to sit still. I need them to be themselves.

✨The toddler who won’t stop running? That’s where we get the best candid laughs.
✨The baby who only wants to be held? That’s where we get the sweetest snuggles.
✨The “wild” energy? That’s the personality you’re going to miss one day.

My sessions are play-based and low-pressure. No “cheese” required, and absolutely no stress allowed.

What makes you most nervous about booking family photos with your kids?

The beauty is in the (removed) details. ✍️

When you book a session with me, you aren’t just getting a gallery of raw moments; you’re getting a curated, polished collection of art.

I take immense pride in my hand-editing process. While AI culling and my hand curated presets save a lot of time, they don’t have an eye for the “visual noise” that pulls focus away from your family. I personally go through every image to:
* Minimize background clutter 🧹
* Neutralize distracting distractions (hello, cords and outlets!) 🔌
* Ensure the focus stays 100% on your baby’s connection.

Your story deserves to be told without the background static. 🤍

I used to think “the grind” was the only way to be successful. Turns out, success looks a lot more like editing on my own porch while my kids play in the yard than spending all my days inside.

Transitioning into a family photographer isn’t just about the gallery delivery; it’s about:
• The Schedule: Choosing when I work so I never miss the “big” small moments at home.
• The Boss: (It’s me. I’m the boss. We get along great.)
• The Community: Finding a group of local photographer moms who actually get the chaos of balancing a lens and a toddler. Thank you

If you’re looking for your sign to build a life you don’t need a vacation from—this is it. 10/10 Would recommend!
