Nearly 20 years ago, one Siberian cat changed the course of my life.
Earlier this month, while creating a Breeding Cats page for my website, the project took on a life of its own.
As I started writing about the cats, I found myself looking back at their pedigrees and remembering stories I hadn't thought about in years. Before I knew it, a simple webpage had evolved into the idea for a historical archive documenting nearly two decades of my breeding program.
I've spent countless hours searching through thousands of photographs, revisiting old pedigrees, and recalling the remarkable cats that shaped Cartier Siberians. Every one of them taught me something, challenged me to become a better breeder, and played a part in the breeding program I have today.
The archive is just getting started. Once I realized the complexity of the project, it became clear this wasn't something I could finish in a few days. Only the first few profiles have been completed so far, but many more will be added as I continue preserving the history behind the cats that made this journey possible.
