10 years ago my childhood best friend and I booked a one year old photoshoot at JC Penny for our girls who were born 4 days apart.

They were both miracle babies… my daughter was severely anemic at 19 weeks and needed two blood transfusions in utero and had a slim chance of survival… and my friends daughter was born unexpectedly with hardly any life in her.

These images are so precious to me. They are a celebration and a testimony of Gods faithfulness to pull both of us through such a difficult time. We will always share that bond together as friends.

Guess what… did you know the families I photograph are not professional models? They are absolutely beautiful enough to be! But these are moms, dads, aunts, uncles, and toddlers just like any of us!

What makes them all laugh at the camera at the exact same time, with such a genuine expression?

Well, a lot of that (99%) has to do with your photographer 📸 😉 💁🏼‍♀️

And I’m not a super hero folk, even though I have been told many times I am a magician 😂

I have just put hours upon hours of studying how to help families feel comfortable in front of the camera because you loving your images is just as important to me!

I, like you, can look at an image and just sniff out when it looks “fake” and we don’t want that.

A lot of time, money, and effort goes into booking a session and the last thing you want are fake interactions.

So you can know and trust that when you book with me, your going to be guided through the entire process, including all those fun interactions I capture with you and your loved ones ❤️

What says summer more then sticking those toes in the cold creek with mom and dad? I can't wait for creek minis in June and there are two spots left! This is the perfect spot for kiddos of all ages and this shoot will give you lovely family photos to update those walls.

Older kids can splash around, and little ones can dip their toes in. Think....dresses or cute rolled up jeans and overalls! We will also get photos on land before we splash around. Can't wait!!

In home newborn sessions are truly one of my passions. I often tell people that all I need is a window with some natural light to give beautiful photos, and it's true! The best part of the images are the people IN the photos. We keep things simple, and let baby lead that way if we need to take breaks for feedings or diaper changes (which always happen!) we can. We pivot when needed and I direct you every step of the way.

I made a new friend when visiting this family for their in-home newborn session. We may have given her a few treats to keep her interested in her new brother, and she is smart! She caught on quickly, lol ;)

But on the way out as I packed up my things, she sat so well for me on the front porch and gave momma and daddy a photo to be proud of.

I love including those furry family members as well!
