A little reintroduction for those who are new around here🤍
Hi, I’m Valerie!
I picked up my first camera in 2016, took a leap into business education in 2018 and 2019, and officially launched Valerie Marie Photography in May of 2019
Somehow I now find myself in my seventh year of business and my fourth year doing this work full-time
Alongside of photography, I earned my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. While life ultimately led me down a different path, that season shaped so much of who I am today
I am a storyteller first. My approach is rooted in honest documentation, timeless imagery, and creating space for people to simply be themselves. Whether I’m photographing a wedding day, a growing family, or a season of motherhood, I’m drawn to the moments that feel emotional and lasting
For the past two years, I’ve also had the privilege of owning Bloom Studio | Photography & Event Space , a natural light creative studio and luxury bridal getting ready suite here in Rochester. Watching that space become a gathering place for photographers, creatives, and love stories has been one of the greatest gifts of this journey
Outside of photography, I’m a wife, a mother to our sweet son Oakley, and currently counting down the days until we welcome our baby girl later this summer.
Motherhood, along with my lived experiences, has undoubtedly changed the way I see the world and, without question, the way I photograph it
I’m endlessly grateful that this little business has connected me with so many incredible people throughout the Finger Lakes region and beyond. Thank you for being here, whether you’ve been following since the beginning or just recently found your way to this space
