It's another amazing weekend in the books- this time working with one of my favorite families to document Zainab and Mohammad's wedding celebration!

I've been working with this family since 2020, photographing engagements, weddings, graduations, and family photos. Getting to be there for their big life moments and watching the families grow has been such a privilege.

Last year I photographed Zainab's engagement and Nikah, and then this weekend we photographed the Mendhi and wedding celebration. And can I tell you, at every event everyone looks absolutely STUNNING! The colors, the jewelry, the henna... it is always so beautiful and unique.

I am going backwards this weekend, so here is a preview of their wedding celebration! The Mendhi preview will come tomorrow, I promise!

Love that we were able to wear our kurtas to this weekend's wedding celebrations for our couple! Not only do I just LOVE all the colors and designs, it was also super comfortable to work in.... Like now I want to wear this to all weddings😅 It's breathable (well mine at least was haha), I can move in it easily, and I never have to worry about anything sliding up or down, because everything is covered haha.

But in all seriousness, we need another event to dress up for, so if you need any of your Indian or Pakistani events covered... We're ready!

I don't even know where to start. Friday night we drove out to the Adirondacks for Syrena and Keagan's wedding. We took our campervan and stayed onsite (and we are still here as I type this, in the campervan haha), bringing our pup with us. Saturday was the big day, and it was such a beautiful, love filled, wedding with a crowd that properly celebrated past midnight.

And these two deserve every since single minute of celebration. They kept me on the edge of happy tears most of the night (thanks guys😅) - I had to keep reminding myself that my job actually seeing what I'm photographing gets infinitely harder if I actually cry😂

After we were all set with photography, they invited us to stay, and joined us at the firepit after the party wrapped up. It was so cool to get to just hang out, talk around the fire, and gain new friends in the process☺️

The weather understood the assignment, with the rain stopping overnight from Friday to Saturday, and not starting up until Sunday morning as I type this. They ended up with one of the first fully beautiful stunning days in Northern NY, with a clear starry sky and full moon to end the night with.

This morning I was able to edit this preview while sitting at a picnic bench, watching the river flow by, listening to the birds chirping

Trying out some double exposures... What do y'all think? Should I do more of them!?

These were taken outside of Mexico City, a Mexico during our 3 day couples adventure. I wanted to show off the full waterfall we were in front of, but also their connection up-close, so I combined the two! If you look close you can see the zoomed out version of their pose in the middle of the double exposure as well.

I was going for something a bit different originally, but absolutely love the artistic turn it took instead haha!

Benefits of having a non-traditional studio? When it gets too cold outside, you have a warm place to go for some stunning images that don't feel like posing in front of a backdrop!

Juhi & Mausam were so much fun to work with! After their courthouse ceremony, they wanted some photos of just the two of them to celebrate their union.

We started at the George Eastman Gardens (where I attempted to stomp a walkable path through the almost knee high snow for them😆) for some outdoor photos in their wedding attire. From there we moved to my much warmer studio, where they could change into their more traditional outfits, and we could get some cozier photos.

Experiences like these are why I love elopements and micro-weddings so much. We had the flexibility to do what felt right to the couple, and weren't constricted to a tight timeline

It's not every day a photo session inquiry comes through where the client's last name is straight up Czech! Needless to say, when I saw it I got super excited!

Mary just earned her B.S. in Nursing and wanted to document it properly with a photo-session in U of R's Academy of Medicine building. We had such a fun time getting creative, while also curiosity got the best of us with so many of the books on the shelves.

I can't think of a better way to celebrate such an amazing accomplishment! Here is a quick sneak peak :)

This time every year you can find us in Watertown for the annual NNY Bridal Expo. This year has been an extra special trip so far, because we got to capture these two's engagement photos!

We met Syrena and Keagan last year at the same expo, and are so honored to be their wedding photographers.

Syrena's one request for engagement photos was that they look different from everyone else, and aren't too nature-esque. So we ran with it!

We chose to do photos around downtown Watertown for more of that small town vibe, ending in a brewery for some beers and a meal! This worked out perfectly, since their first date happened to be at a brewery!

We had such a great time with these two, they even bought us drinks and basket of cheese curds, which is a way straight into my heart😆 I was in my happy place: Taking photos while snacking on cheese😁

GUYS!!!! I just found out I was one of the selected winning artists for the Chelsea International Photography Competition in NYC!!🥲😍🥰

Out of hundreds of applicants, only 5 were selected for a cash prize, and I was one of them😍

I couldn't have doe this without the amazing Amber Jay Stowell bringing my vision to life.

I will share more with you guys about the photo that won and the series it was a part of later, as I am currently in Mexico prepping for a 3 day adventure couples session, and the concept we brought to life deserves more attention than I can give this post right now😅
