Still riding the high from last night! 💗✨

What an absolute HONOR to walk the runway for Pink Aid, an incredible organization that helps breast cancer patients pay their everyday bills while undergoing treatment. Because fighting cancer is hard enough without having to worry about keeping the lights on or putting food on the table.

And getting to walk that runway with my fiancé by my side? A moment I will never forget. 🥹💕

The energy, the love, the emotion, the FASHION! What a rush. What a privilege. What a spectacular night!

As a breast cancer survivor, being part of something that gives back to women going through what I once went through means more than I can put into words.

Last night wasn’t just about walking a runway. It was about showing up for each other. 💗

My cancer is NOT your marketing tool.

I got this text from my gym today, encouraging everyone to wear pink to their workout for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

And I have some thoughts.

As a breast cancer survivor, I am so tired of the pinkwashing.

I don’t need you to wear pink for me. I don’t need a pink-themed workout. And I certainly don’t need another business using breast cancer as an opportunity to look like they care.

You know what I would love?

I’d love to see you donate to breast cancer research. Offer free memberships to women going through treatment. Support survivors who are trying to rebuild their strength after surgery. Educate your members about early detection.

DO SOMETHING THAT ACTUALLY MAKES A DIFFERENCE.

Because breast cancer isn’t a color. It’s not a theme. It’s not a marketing campaign.

It’s surgeries. Scars. Fear. Loss. Trauma. And a lifetime of wondering if it will come back.

I’m not against awareness. I’m against awareness without action.

My cancer is not your marketing tool.

Pink isn’t enough. DO BETTER.

51 and honestly, I think I’m having more fun with fashion now than ever before.

The older I get, the more I realize that I just want to wear what makes me feel good. Some days that means getting dressed up, other days it’s keeping things simple. Either way, I love putting outfits together and finding little ways to make them feel like me.

Flat is beautiful. Scars are beautiful. And choosing not to reconstruct is just as valid as choosing to rebuild. ❤️

After breast cancer took her breasts, she chose to go flat. Not because she gave up on femininity, but because femininity was never defined by what was on her chest.

This is what beauty after breast cancer can look like. Raw. Powerful. Feminine. Unapologetic.

There is no right way to have a body after breast cancer. Only YOUR way.

And that deserves to be celebrated.

She got to keep her belly button. ❤️

When a woman undergoes DIEP flap breast reconstruction, so much of her body changes.

Sometimes the belly button needs to be recreated. Other times, a woman gets to keep her original one, just with a new opening in her skin.

It may look a little different, but it’s still hers.

And when you’ve been through removing your breasts, sometimes keeping the smallest things can mean the most.

Because reconstruction isn’t just about rebuilding breasts. It’s about learning to recognize yourself again.

Every scar tells a story. And so does every little piece of us that remains.
