Busy season has officially begun and my inbox has been full of people asking for photos! The first thing most people ask is where we should do them so here is my list of favorites for photos in Virginia!
1. Carter Mountain- I will meet you here anytime, anyday! It is such a fun place to take photos. Plus, I love a location that has a built in activity for kids to do while I photograph. They will be having so much fun that they won’t even notice that we are taking family photos!
2. Sandbridge- I think fall is my favorite time to photograph at the beach. It means less people, earlier sunsets, and later sunrises. Plus, I love the look of sweaters at the beach!
3. The Historic Tuckahoe- I will miss these fields and their beautiful trees! But still hoping that the new owners of this place will invite us photographers back!
4. Your Home- I know I say this everytime I do one of these posts, but your home will always be the first place I suggest for your family photos. There really isn’t a place where your kids will be as comfortable as in their own home!
5. Agecroft Gardens- This is another place that I photograph all year, but I believe that fall is when it shines the most! I love the florals sooooo much!
6. Maymont- Maymont has so much variety. We can walk just steps and have a completely different look. I LOVE IT HERE.
7. Belle Isle- If you are up for a walk, this is totally worth it. I love photographing the hazy light of the James.
8. Colonial Williamsburg- This place just screams Virginia, and I love it for it. There are so many gardens, trees, and architecture to use as backdrops. I feel like I everytime I go there, I discover something new!
