Scouting out spots for the morning of your elopement together ✨

I don’t like being prom posey so I like asking my couples to do cutesy things together instead. For example to get these cute photos, my prompt started with sitting her on the railing and having her hubby stand in front. I ask her to wrap her arms around him and people watch for a few moments. Then I asked her to slide into a piggyback ride. My fav part is to ask him to toss her like a salad or try to unseat her and it without fail ALWAYS brings the giggles out. 🤩🤩

Let’s talk Imposter Syndrome ✌🏼

WELL DID YA MISS ME???? I took a bit of a social media and shooting break for a while and despite coming back and seeing the engagement insights down substantially, I am refreshed and ready to dive back into sharing everything I’ve been sitting on. I had our first engagement session this month and it was so great! They’re the cutest things ever. It felt good to get back together with my camera 📸 it was a session that when I look through the photos I’m like oh yeah. I love my job and I’m good at it 😂

Being surrounded by so many talented people in our area is amazing AND hard because the imposter syndrome is reallll. I work from home, I don’t have coworkers in a public setting anymore. My contact with people is primarily on social media which drags on me LOL and it’s easy to be working at home, doom scrolling all this GORGEOUS work my fellow photogs are posting day after day and then get in my head about never being as good as them or doing what they do blah blah blah. 😂

But you know what? That’s just a negative spiral. 🌀 because I have to remind myself, I DO belong in the space. I am very good at my job and I LOVE it and live for seeing these couples happy. My circumstances and tastes and experiences are different so my work will never be what someone elses is but hey guess what

THATS OKAY! It shouldn’t be the same!! what’s important is I’m capturing and making MY art in the personal way that I see them and tell stories. And that’s so so special!!! I’m so thankful for being able to have this job and meet my clients and share their lives.

It’s also okay to take breaks when you need it, and come back to things when you’re ready to full send it. We don’t half-donkey things here!! So get ready to see a bunch of new to the feed work that has been waiting patiently for me to post it. :)

when I dip you dip we dip!

Whether or not you plan a dip, the ceremony exit will always be one of the most happiest parts of the day. You just said you do, everyone you love is cheering for you, and now you’re walking into forever as a MARRIED HUMAN OMG. So have fun and celebrate however you want!!

ps : it does help to practice your dip LOL

POV: your evening walking view when you get married in Santa Barbara 🤩 California is one of those places that you immediately feel calm in. It’s definitely a different way of life than the east coast and I love it.
That’s something I love more about the west coast and western states in general is everyone’s love and appreciation of the outdoors. And the respect for nature that *most people have.

That really resonates with us. 🌲

One of the greatest honors is being invited back again and again to share in capturing your life and watching your kids grow up. I’ve known all these babies since before they were earthside and to say I’m emotional every time I get to see them is an understatement. I love you guys so much and getting the hugs and my hand held while we walk to the car and high fives when I’m encouraging them to play and climb trees during the session is the best thing ever. I love when I get to go into photographer auntie mode and I love you for giving me that chance.
