Making senior photos fun and creative! This senior wanted to showcase the area that he grew up in. These spots were new to me so I scouted them a few weeks prior to figure out the lighting and sequence of events. My brain was exploding with the cool scenery and lighting! I'd take a few photos, show him the back of my camera for feedback, then take a few more.

I love family photos and all the wiggly little kids. But I have to say, senior photos are so fun to do too!

I’ve noticed that this year, families are asking for locations that are easy to fit into their busy schedules. Whether that’s a location minutes from your house, that accommodates an early bedtime or is quiet year round, we can make it happen. Family photos don’t have to be fussy! We don’t need to go to far away spots to create beautiful family photos! It’s ok to even repeat locations if you love them and it makes your life easy! 😎

All clients fill out a detailed questionnaire asking about your likes and dislikes. Mom wanted a location with pops of color from the flowers and many shades of green from the trees. Flowers are in peak bloom right now! We went back and forth a few times before deciding on this beautiful spot with lots of layering!

It’s my photographers dream to photograph in a flower field. Grateful to have had the opportunity to do it for five years now. always comes through. Each year the flowers are a little different but the sea of lavender and wildflowers is stunning. Even if you just want to go visit, smell the lavender, play some lawn games and clip some flowers, you should! We do every year!

When golden hour is at 8pm on a summer evening, sometimes that doesn’t work for little ones! I have a list of locations that work for earlier bedtimes with lots of trees to block out the harsh light. I walked this location an hour before our session and picked three different spots with even, flattering lighting and some quiet pockets to run around in.

Family photos can happen anytime… I’ve photographed tiny newborns to squishy babies to preschoolers that don’t stop moving. If you’ve missed a stage, don’t let that stop you from getting photos. If you need an earlier time slot (than golden hour), let me know! I have locations that are bed time friendly!
