At the start of the year, I promised myself I would get into my studio more to create and play and experiment. Each month in 2026, I have a creative session planned - each with a theme.

January’s was ‘Reflections’. Working with mirrors and reflective materials like glossy fabrics, clear vinyl, and a disco ball was a challenge in the best possible way.

I had to be extra mindful of the light I was creating and how it would interact with not just the chosen materials, but also with my model, Aaron.

If you’re interested in being a part of this twelve month series, let me know! I still have a few months up for grabs. You don’t need to have any experience; just a willingness to play and get in front of my lens. Also, most sessions won’t ask you to get into your birthday suit (but I appreciate Aaron for going for it!).

If ever there was a perfect coastal wedding, this one takes the [wedding] cake.

Paul and Amanda rented out the Newagen Seaside Inn in Southport, Maine and spent the first weekend in October celebrating their marriage with all their favorite people.

Salty coastal air, endless sunshine, hearty food, and an inn filled with love. Pure Maine goodness.

A beautiful couple in a beautiful place with their most beloved people.

Taylor and Kayla got married on the 6th of September at Camp Beech Cliff near Acadia.

The flowers were stunning, the music was on point, the food was warming, and the fog made the air romantic and gentle.

I can’t wait to keep working through Kayla and Taylor’s images - they’re made up of sweet moments with the most sincere people.

Bridget (they/them) and Gabe’s (he/him) wedding was what all wedding celebrations wish they could be.

Hosted at ever beautiful Caswell Farm, the day was filled with loads of colorful flowers, delicious farm-to-table food, and the best people. Truly, Bridget and Gabe have the most incredible community of people around them. The love on Saturday was real, bountiful, and sincere.

Choosing which images to share was impossible, so I just picked some quickly to post or else I would’ve overthought it. I may be back with more later on.

It is a dream getting to witness and document love stories - romantic and platonic - nearly each weekend. I am honored to be entrusted with such a meaningful job and grateful to my couples who let me be my playful, goofy, and creative self.

I know the song choice probably seems weird for this post, but it’s what Nate and I walked into our wedding celebration to. 🥴

ANYWAY!

I knew when we decided to get married that I was going to design my own flat-lay (a shot laid out with all the smaller details from a couple’s wedding day).

I love putting together flat-lays for my couples - seeing all the micro details that they thought out for their big day.

In mine, you’ll see my sardine earrings from - I saw these earrings BEFORE we got engaged and I knew, no question, that they would be my wedding earrings.

There are flowers from my parents’ garden (where we got married). You’ll spot my bright red-orange which would comfortable AF to dance in on the boat. There’s our party invitations designed by Wolf and Water Lab and printed by . There’s also our ceremony invites from .

And of course you’ll see my sweet and semi-feral cat, Fern who took a huge interest in our weddings rings from and my engagement ring from in Portland.

I wish I could relive our wedding day again and again. I can’t, but I’ll try to through photos of our little details.

Did you know I create family portraits?

When I first started my business, I used to design very predictable sessions with my families. Matching outfits in a pretty field near a nice oak or maple tree. These photos have their place in the world, but as the person creating them, they never made me feel artistically satiated.

Now I do things differently! When I’m excited, it shows in my work. My images just feel different in the best possible way. I want that for me and I definitely want that for you!

So here are some things I don’t care about when creating images of kids:

1. If they smile or not. My purpose is to document them as they are TODAY. I’m not bribing your bambinos with candy or ice cream or whatever else to get them to smile.

2. If they have identical matching outfits. I want the photos I create to reflect the real people in them. Let them pick out their own outfits - I’d love to see what they choose for themselves.

3. The location. The ideal location for your family photos is at your house, in your yard, our someplace you and your kids find meaningful, fun, and/or comfortable.

4. Time. My family sessions don’t often have a time limit because kids need breaks and snacks and time to just be without a camera in their business. We’ll hangout and play and chat and explore and it will be low key, no pressure, and just simple fun.

I have a ton of ideas and I’d love to run them by you!

If you’d like a family session that resembles a day in your actual life and not a perfectly curated influencer’s post, let me know. I’d love to be a part of that with you.

I’m suuuuper biased, but there’s no better place to make it official than Maine.

Zach and Rebecca planned a very thoughtful and intentional day - designing a day that felt true to who they are. Flowers grown and arranged by their dear friend, two runs on the Casco Bay Cat after dinner and a beautiful outdoor ceremony just down the street from where the two live.

Moral of the story? Do EXACTLY what you want on your wedding day.
