We specialize in on-location work, especially lifestyle campaigns, product and corporate photography. I tell visual stories about brands, about people and about companies. I love my work because it engages all of my senses and draws on all of my experiences, from working for others to learning on my own. Every day is different because my clients' challenges are unique to their situations. My goal

There are portrait sessions where everything clicks, and this was one of those. Great location and great person in front of the lens. I shot this series for Whitney_runs in the Maine woods where Whitney runs and feels at home. I love the light, but she nailed the expressions that give the images a cool moody feel.

When Colby Magazine asked me to photograph faculty and researchers for a piece on ethical AI, the brief was straightforward, but the subject matter wasn’t. How do you make portraits that feel human in a story about machines? My approach was to show warm skin tones against cool, dark backgrounds. The technology piece is implied, though unseen, and the people are fully present, though isolated.
The point of the piece — something I hope comes across in the portraits — is that human judgment is still at the center of all of the college’s pioneering AI efforts.

Watching a video crew at work on location was a powerful reminder of the power of subtraction. They brought monster lights but often used far simpler methods instead. Thinking a lot about that. ‘The question, ‘Which Light Can I Remove?’ seems like it could apply to portrait photography and much more.

Excited to announce that I'm an Artist Project Grant recipient from the Maine Arts Commission.

The grant supports Baring Scars, a portrait and storytelling project I've been building for three years: 42 men and counting, from Maine and throughout the US and Canada. Cancer survivors who agreed to sit in front of my camera and talk honestly about what the disease left behind on their bodies and inside, too.

I'm honored to be able to help these men share stories that need to be heard.

The grant moves this toward a public exhibition in June 2027, timed to National Cancer Survivors Month.

This project is supported in part by the Maine Arts Commission, an independent state agency supported by the National Endowment for the Arts.
