Dreaming up an idea and having people around you willing to trust the process is such a different kind of feeling.

The Oregon trip was everything I hoped it would be and somehow even more. Wind, cold hands, too much tulle 😜, hiking around cliffs, changing plans constantly, creating in real time, laughing through the chaos.

I think that’s my favorite part of all of this. Not just the photos, but the experience of making something together 🤍

Some photos stay with you long after everything else changes.

A long, long time ago, my cousin took photos of me in Turkiye with an old camera and a yellow filter over the lens. They looked nothing like what everyone else was doing. I still have those photos. The person in them is no longer part of my life, and yet when I look at them, I still feel the air, the moment, the exact version of myself that existed there.

That’s how I judge photography now.

Not by trends.
Not by whether I would edit it differently today.
Not by how “perfect” it is.

But by whether years later it can still pull me back emotionally.

If I can look at a gallery 10 or 20 years from now and still feel something real from it, then I know I did my job.

This is one of those sessions for me ♥️
