Important change I’ll be making moving forward effectively immediately.
After seeing the recent news online in regards to AI, I’ve decided that I will no longer be sharing photographs of children with their faces visible on my photography business pages or website.
I’m incredibly grateful to every family who trusts me to capture their memories, and with the amount of content that is shared online and the unfortunate ways photographs of children can sometimes be used, I feel that being more intentional about what I share publicly is the right thing to do.
This decision is also something that feels very personal to me. Whenever I become a parent myself, I know I want to be one of the parents who chooses not to share their child’s face publicly online. Because of that, I feel it’s important for me to extend that same respect.
Moving forward, I’ll still share the beautiful moments I’m trusted to capture, but I’ll be more mindful of how I do so. I may share photos from behind, little details, cropped images, or other moments where a child’s face isn’t visible. If I do choose to share an image where their face is visible, their face will be blurred.
Your memories deserve to be celebrated, while your children’s privacy deserves to be protected. Thank you for trusting me to document these moments, that trust means so much to me. 🤍
