As we approach busy photography season, it’s important to not just find a photographer with availability, but one who understands your goals and can best serve you!
You might want a quick session with everybody looking and smiling for a Christmas card, and there’s nothing wrong with that!
But if you’re looking for someone who wants to slow things down a little, let your kids be kids, encourage you to play, and photograph all of those little moments happening in between the “everybody look here!” photos… hi, that’s me.
There’s no right or wrong way to do family photos. There’s just finding the photographer whose approach fits your family.
My goal has never been to create a gallery where everyone looks perfect in every photo. I want you to look back and recognize your people—the way your kids laugh, the way they cling to you, the chaos, the connection, and all the little things that make your family yours.
So before you book based on who has an opening on the calendar, take a look at how they actually photograph families.
Because the best fit isn’t always the photographer who has availability.
It’s the one whose work makes you think, “Yep. That’s what I want my family to look like.” 🤍
