Kayla Dawn Photography Port Angeles Portrait + Wedding Photographer I am a local of Port Angeles, Washington and have lived here my entire life.

Home is where the heart is and the Pacific Northwest is definitely where mine resides. I've been pursuing photography since high school and graduated in 2009. I’ve had a curiosity for cameras and the creative aspect for as long as I can remember. I am self taught and discovered early on as I built my portfolio that I was learning the most doing things on my own terms. I’ve been photographing weddi

ngs and portraits professionally for over ten years now and find so much fulfillment using my passion to bless others. It’s such a reward to do what I love most while also having the privilege of being fully present for my sweet little boy. When I'm not taking pictures, you’ll most likely find me spending quality time with my favorite people, trying not to die at the gym, taking the scenic route, working on a creative project at home, or letting my hair down in the mosh pit of a rock show if I'm not shooting it.

Their wedding day popped up on my memories from four years ago and I felt like I couldn’t wait any longer to post some of my favorites as I continue to work on their gallery today. It was so special to be able to go back to the place they exchanged their vows and recreate some cute wedding photos with the tractor with their babies this time. I’m so excited to share some of my favorites from this wedding. It was my first (of hopefully many) time visiting the beautiful out in Forks. Kim has put so much love and attention to detail into her venue. It was absolutely stunning and as always, such an added treat to work with her and her trusted vendors. It was also wonderful meeting and shooting alongside for the first time. It was a beautiful day and consisted of lots of sweet moments and many happy tears. ❤️

Sometimes I wish I could clone myself so I could be in multiple places at once. I’ve been unstoppable this week - tackling a huge array of projects, and managing my editing queue all while balancing mom life is no easy feat. It’s been the busiest week ever but it is so satisfying to feel this productive amidst the beautiful chaos. I’m so close to being caught up and having a slower day to recharge and focus on editing solely is a treat today. I am so happy to have found a moment to gather some of my favorites from this recent surprise proposal. A year ago, I was terrified of doing surprise proposals. I’ve had a few under my belt now and even though I still get incredibly nervous going into them, it’s so rewarding for me. Every time. 🥰

I couldn’t have picked a better wedding to kickstart the season off with. I was so thrilled to be back at and document another wedding day vision. nailed the assignment as always and her floral arrangements turned out so vibrantly stunning. .mua is such a sweetheart and did a phenomenal job, and .catering… oh my goodness that had to be some of the tastiest food I think I’ve ever had in my life.
