I was driving down Jordan Road and pulled over when I saw this horse standing at the entrance of his little barn. There is that minute in the car of pulling over, grabbing my camera while never taking my eyes off the scene. Hoping to get in position before the horse moves. Knowing anything can change, by my movements or something else in the air and then the moment will be lost. Navigating the snowy unplowed side of the road, mindful of the ditch I could fall into, other horses are now alerted and everyone is moving. But this horse. Just watching me watch him. I'm ready, I make a small purposeful noise and his ears go up and forward. Nailed it!
