One of the questions I get asked a lot is, “Where should we take senior pictures?”

And honestly there isn’t one right answer.

Like for this senior’s session, the first location was at his school’s soccer field and then his second location was downtown Lakeland. It ended up being the perfect combination because each location brought something different to his gallery.

The soccer field was meaningful. It’s where he spent countless hours practicing, competing, and making memories throughout high school. Those photos tell part of his high school story.

Downtown Lakeland was chosen more for the look and feel. The variety of backgrounds, architecture, and overall vibe gave us a completely different aesthetic and added so much variety to his gallery. I can’t wait to share more from that location.

This is actually one of the reasons I love that most of my senior session options include up to two locations. My favorite approach is usually choosing one location that feels personal to who you are and one location that matches the overall vibe you want for your photos.

But there are no rules.

If you want two locations simply because you love how they look, that’s great. If you want two locations that are meaningful and tell your story, that’s great too.

The best locations are the ones that make you excited about your photos. Whether that’s a soccer field, a downtown street, a farm, a beach, or somewhere that holds special memories, your senior session should feel like you.

Because years from now, the photos that mean the most won’t just show what you looked like as a senior. They’ll remind you of who you were and all the memories you made during this season of life. ❤️

The most adorable way to remember summer 2026 🎆

This summer I will be offering my traditional 4th of July minis but I have something else in the works that I’m so excited about! I will be sharing all the details soon.

I can’t wait for all the big smiles, summer memories, and all the red, white & blue cuteness 🇺🇸

I loved getting to photograph this beautiful bungalow. It feels bright, peaceful, welcoming, and makes the prettiest backdrop for photos. And one thing about Florida…AC is a necessity 😂 I’m so grateful for E&E Family Farm for providing such a beautiful space that keeps us cool while still feeling so cozy and beautiful.

Something my dad did my entire life was walk by faith. That man did not worry about anything.
It's something I've always admired about him and wished I could be more like him in that way.
He trusted God with his entire life.

When hurricane Milton was barreling towards us, the track showed it passing directly over where we lived. I was terrified but my dad wasn't. He left his home to stay with us (really for me because I was a scaredy cat). He left his car parked in the drive so he could use his lifted truck just in case we needed to get through high water.

After the hurricane passed we went to check on his house and couldn't even get to it (even in his big ole truck). His neighborhood was completely flooded. We saw it on the news that they were having to go in on boats and get people from their homes. I was so worried for my dad's home and his car and felt guilty that maybe we should have taken both his car and truck. But my dad wasn't worried at all. He also had the mindset that it's just material objects anyway.

When we were finally able to get back to his house, the water had barely reached his car tires. His house was perfectly fine. His neighbors told him that the water was literally rushing between his home and the houses next to him. But never rose high enough to reach his house or car. It's something even Patrick still talks about because it was just shocking to see in person.

So that is the heart behind this shirt. My sweet friend Jennifer made it for me, and if you know her, you know how much heart she puts into everything she creates.

She has the cutest small business where she makes custom shirts and cups. Her Disney ones are honestly adorable and I’m not even a big Disney fan per-say. What I love most isn’t just what she creates though…it’s who she is.

She lost her dad a few years ago, and in a way that I wish neither of us understood, she just gets it. She’s been someone I can sit with in the middle of this grief without needing to explain a single thing.

So having her make this “walk by faith” shirt for me just meant so much. It represents my dad and his never wavering faith as a reminder for me to live my life that way and it also represents Jennifer and our friendship and our bond. And of course supporting her business.

So if you’re looking for something meaningful, something made with intention, she’s 100% your girl.

I am so excited to share these with ya’ll…

I was able to photograph this beautiful flower field in Lakeland last year for the first time and I instantly fell in love with it. It just feels so happy…the colors, the light, and the way everything felt so full of life.

I didn’t have example images to show last year but I do now. Plus I was also walking through a really hard season and figuring out how to do life without my dad. And I just needed that time.

But this year I am more than ready.

So, I’m officially offering Flower Field Mini Sessions for the first time 🤍 They’re short and simple (just 15 minutes), but with this heat trust me that is more than enough time.

These are so perfect for:
🌸 A quick add on for seniors who want something soft, fun, and a little whimsical
🌷 Moms who want to hold their babies a little closer (no matter how big they’re getting)
💐 Families who just want a few genuine, beautiful moments together without a full session
🌼 or honestly… if you just want to frolic in a flower field because life should have more moments like that

If this season you’re in right now feels like one you don’t want to forget or if you just really love flowers and spring…these are for you.🌻
