Guilty as charged and not even sorry about it! Life gets chaotic, schedules get wild, everything feels a little all over the place. But having photos that freeze a moment in time? THAT part actually matters! So yeah… I’m still over here like “okay but imagine how good your photos would look right now”!

Life feels a little heavier lately, doesn’t it?

Everything’s more expensive, schedules are packed, and it’s hard to justify anything extra right now. I hear that from so many of you, and honestly… I get it more than y'all know.

There’s something I’ve noticed after years of doing this though. The families and couples who book a sesh aren’t doing it because life is calm or perfectly put together. They’re doing it in the middle of the chaos, while their kids are growing faster than they expected, while life still feels full and busy and a little unpredictable.

Because time doesn’t really wait for things to feel easier.

And the photos you take now? They end up meaning more than you thought they would.

Booking a sesh, no matter the kind, isn’t about spending money just to spend it. It’s about holding onto a season of life that you won’t get back.

Mother’s Day is creeping up on us, which means one thing over here… Mother’s Day mini seshes are coming 👀

(Date is still up in the air, so bear with me y’all. I promise I’m working on it!)

But before I start talking about all that, I’ve been feeling a little sentimental lately.

This will be my second Mother’s Day as a momma, and somehow this year just hits different. Last year my sweet Livy-Lou wasn’t even two weeks old yet. This year my little girl will be **one whole year old**, and I’ve found myself reflecting a lot on this first wild year of motherhood.

And honestly? I’m a little in awe of it. Mommas deserve to say that out loud. We’re allowed to give ourselves a damn pat on the back every once in a while.

But as I’ve been thinking about this past year, I keep coming back to all the mothers I’ve had the honor of photographing. Those little moments between a mom and her babies… the snuggles, the laughter, the chaos, the way a tiny hand reaches for mom like she’s their whole world.

I’ve always seen those moments when I’m behind the camera.

But this year I understand them in a completely different way.

Motherhood has given me a whole new lens when I photograph you and your babies. I don’t just see a beautiful moment unfolding anymore. I feel the love, the pride, the exhaustion, and the connection behind it in a way I never could before.

So to every mom out there, whether you’re brand new to this or years into the journey, just know I’m spiritually patting every single one of you on the damn back. You are incredible.

Motherhood has changed me in a million ways, and it’s changed the way I photograph these moments too. It means the world to me getting to document them for you.

Hey everyone! I’m finally coming out of my winter slump—spring is on the way, and I’m ready to dive in. I’m dreaming up some adorable motherhood minis—details dropping by the end of the month—so keep your eyes peeled for those.
