It’s that time again — fall sessions are officially open! 🍂

Every year, sessions like this remind me why I love doing this — watching a family just be together, kids being kids. Those are the moments I’m always trying to catch.

If you’re anything like me, you probably have approximately 4,000 photos of your dog on your phone. 😂

Sleeping on the couch. Sitting in the kitchen hoping you’ll drop something. That ridiculously cute thing they do that you’re sure you need a picture of every single time.

But there’s something different about having really beautiful photos of them. The way they look at you. Their goofy little personality. The face you see every single day and can’t imagine not seeing.

They’re such a big part of our lives for such a short amount of time. Beautiful photos of them are something you’ll never regret having. 🤎🐾

Today’s Pups: Maggie & Winnie 🐾

These two know how to enjoy life. 💜

Maggie, the Goldendoodle, and Winnie, the Golden Retriever, were the sweetest sisters—always ready for a little fun, a new adventure, or whatever came next. They seemed perfectly happy just being together and making the most of every minute.

I absolutely loved photographing these two and getting to see a little piece of the life they share together.

Dogs really do have a way of reminding us to enjoy the good stuff while it’s here. 💜🐾

Can I take one thing off your list of things to worry about before your baby arrives?

You do not have to have newborn photos taken within the first two weeks.

If two weeks works for your family, wonderful. If you need a little more time to settle in, recover, and figure out life with this brand-new little person, that’s okay too.

Your baby will still be tiny. They’ll still fit perfectly against your chest. And you’ll still look at these photos someday and wonder how they were ever that little.

There’s no expiration date on meaningful newborn photos. 🩵

Today’s Pup: Bruce 🐾

Bruce understood exactly how to have a good time. 🩵

This adorable Mini Bernedoodle spent his session running, playing, smiling, and soaking up every minute with his mom. He was such a sweet, happy little guy, and you could tell just how much he loves being by her side.

These are the kinds of moments I love most—the ones that show exactly what life with your dog feels like right now. 🐾🩵

If you’ve ever thought, “I really need good photos of my dog,” fall is a pretty great time to finally do it. 🍂🐾

Cooler weather, pretty evening light, leaves everywhere…and your dog getting an entire hour where they’re basically the star of the show.

And no, they don’t need to sit perfectly, look at the camera on command, or be the world’s best-behaved dog. I want the goofy, playful, curious, completely-themselves version you know and love.

Fall dog sessions are booking now, and I’d love to spend an evening getting to know your favorite four-legged family member. 🤎

There’s so much waiting during pregnancy.

Waiting to meet them. Wondering what they’ll look like. Imagining what it’s going to feel like to finally hold them. Wondering how this tiny person you haven’t even met yet can already be such a huge part of your life.

And then suddenly, they’re here.

I think that’s why maternity photos become more meaningful with time. They give you something to look back on and remember what it felt like to be waiting for them, before you knew that little face by heart. 🤍

If you have a dog, you know this look. 🤎

The way they look up at you like you’re their whole world. And if we’re being honest, they become such a big part of ours too.

They’re there for the walks, the ordinary days, the really good days, and all those little moments in between that don’t seem like anything special at the time.

And somehow, the years with them go by way too fast.

This is why I love photos with you and your dog just as much as I love the ones of them on their own. Because someday, you won’t just want to remember what they looked like.

You’ll want to remember what it felt like to be loved by them. 🤎🐾
