Posting for the sake of posting.
Because sometimes you just have to.
Not at the time of day IG says the most people will see this.
Not because I have anything poignant to say.
The beast doesn’t care that life happens at lighting speed and the last thing I have time to is play pick me. Which is what this places feels like most days.
I’ve been working hard to share content pretty consistent over the past 9 months but you take one day off as a small business and you get hit, two days…good luck. You’re officially being punished.
It’s just exhausting.

So here is one of my favorite people and a repeat Girlfriend who shared this photo with me after her Polaroid Haute Shot shoot with us. Such a badass, scanning her prints and sharing with meeeeeeeee?!
Absolute perfection.

We really enjoyed these shoots. But being that the art went home with the client, I can barely remember any of the images we made.

Did I get flustered? Yes.
Am I still frustrated? Yes.

But FR.
Maybe I’m too close to the situation.
Legitimate male clients never have any issue if I say I’m having a male assistant on the day of their shoot.

It is only the “prospective “male clients that give me any kickback.

Give me your perspective help me out in the comments. How would you vet male clients? I don’t want to automatically assume someone has ill intentions however we have had some *situations*, shall we say?

Continuing with the black and white photography theme, we are going way way back.

2013? Couples bo***ir wasn’t as popular then but this year we had more than our fair share. Dessa and I had started working together but we weren’t a team yet so she didn’t come with me to this shoot. But I know Sean Montgomery came along. I think we shot some video that never saw the light of day but I know for certain that I got pretty soaked by inviting myself into the shower with these newlyweds(ish). I think about this shoot a lot before most of my couples sessions.

Why? Because, chemistry.
It’s very hard to fake.
I’m good. So I can.

The quality of my work has come along way. But you can feel the energy between these two. Not every couple has an electric charge between them but even old less skilled work is amplified by subjects who WANT to be there.

I’m rambling now. Thanks for memory tripping me. And maybe I could be persuaded to come to your hotel room and take a shower. 😝🫣🤣⭐️📸

Srsly.

Once it was a dream. Then it was a leap of faith. It became full fledged business and has been for over 15 years. Now it is basically how I measure my self worth, value, productivity and sense of self and it is how I pay more in taxes than Jeff Bezos. So that’s pretty fu***ng terrifying.
