Damn, Pittsburgh. Lookin’ good in that blue sky!
Views are something that I do not take for granted when photographing homes and they often leave me in awe of our beautiful city. This is definitely one of those places and it just so happens to feature the rooftop entertainment area of the very first residence that I photographed for Piatt Sotheby’s International Realty. That gorgeous rooftop belongs to one of the most unique homes I’ve ever had the pleasure to shoot and it still remains in my top 3 favorites, ever!

A black and white study of nature’s power...

Pennsylvania’s Eighth Wonder of the World
It took only 94 working days during the summer of 1882 to construct this bridge, which was needed to answer a growing problem of how to move coal through PA. Once completed, the bridge spanned more than 2,000 feet and stood 300 feet off the ground. At the time, this made it the longest, tallest railroad bridge in the world. In addition to solving the coal transportation issue, it became a tourist attraction.
By 1960, the bridge was no longer in use but it and much of the surrounding land became a state park. On July 21, 2003, a massive F1 tornado lifted and left half of the bridge in warmer ruins on the ground.
