I was never meant to be a photographer.

My life was music for a long time.

I thought that was my future.

But God clearly had a different plan for me!

When someone finds out I’m a photographer they immediately think weddings or real estate/architecture, never headshots.

And they’re always surprised.

There’s a side of running a business that doesn’t really make it into the posts: the late nights, the uncertainty, making calls with no one to check them against.

It’s part of the job, just not the part anyone talks about.

But I constantly remind myself, I call the shots. I choose to make changes or stay the same.

And that usually lights a fire inside.

Booking a headshot photographer based on price is the most expensive mistake you can make.

Here’s why: the cheapest option usually means less experience, less consistency, and a final product you don’t actually love.

So what happens? You end up booking again sooner than you would’ve otherwise meaning you paid twice for something you could’ve gotten right the first time.

A great headshot is an investment.

Spend once, spend right.
