The final stop on my European tour: Stockholm! My friend moved there with her husband and was an excellent tour guide. I learned so much about life in Sweden. Photos 1 through 5 are all inside subway stations! These were so fascinating and worth visiting just to see them, even if you didn't need to go to whatever was above them. I loved seeing so many people riding bikes all over the city, even though it was cold. I absolutely envied how easy it would be to live in a place like this car free, with the excellent bike lanes and readily available public transportation.
#7 may have been my favorite thing though.... Cardamom buns. Mmmm so good.

Italy verticals... Including Venice, Lazise, Cinque Terre. My favorite is the magic of Venice, especially during blue hour, but there was lots more to love. The dramatic Mediterranean coastline near Riomaggiore, walking up hundreds of steps to Corniglia and enjoying a gelato reward, and then more steps in Vernazza for an incredible panoramic view. And then the next day, climbing the 1200 feet to Punto Mesco for a view back into Monterosso (in the rain of course). And finally, Leo made an unexpected (and uninvited) friend.

People say my mom and I look a lot alike, is it true?

Picture this: it's a sunny, unseasonably warm end-of February day in Pittsburgh, and downtown Pittsburgh is swarmed with people soaking up the blue skies and warm sunshine. The Duquesne incline is crowded with sightseers looking to enjoy the less-than-5 minute ride to the top of Mt. Washington. As soon as the incline car starts its ascent, two impeccably dressed grooms and an officiant stand and a very quick wedding takes place. It was a joy and a novelty to be part of this unique little wedding! Congratulations to Thomas and Gene!

At last night's Burgh Brides party, I heard a lot of people lamenting how hard it is to keep up with social media. The algorithms are always hungry and they're like toddlers whose tastes change on a whim. It's exhausting! And sometimes I feel like there must be some anti-muggle or anti-Christina repelling charm on IG because every time I think about posting, I suddenly remember something else. But without further ado, here are a few favorites from Madeline and Stephen's wedding in November!

Good ol' Mt. Washington. The view is iconic, but if you're willing to walk a couple blocks, you can mix in some other looks too. This couple had a teeny elopement with zero guests, so we enjoyed meandering around Grandview Ave for their wedding portraits. Whether you have 200 guests or none, I'm here for you!

Okay, this may be an obscure analogy, but my fellow Potterphiles will get it. You know how the Quidditch World Cup had those Muggle-repelling charms where, if Muggles got close to the stadium or grounds, they would suddenly remember urgent appointments or other things they had to do, and hurry off? That's what posting on Instagram seems to have become for me. Anytime I think about it, next thing I know, I'm walking my dogs, going to the grocery store, folding laundry, editing, or just about anything else. But somehow today I've completed some sorcery, and here I am finally sharing some photos from Bethany and Steven's wedding at from -gulp- early April. Despite nonstop rain the entire day, these two were all smiles and saw the best in everything.

Waking up this dormant IG account to share some of this past weekend's loveliness. There are many things I could shout out from Valerie and Don's wedding, but I absolutely have to gush over the incredible florals by - wow - I could not stop admiring Valerie's vibrant bouquet. I also could not stop admiring Valerie! Big kudos as always to the team for making the whole entourage look incredible.

Congratulations to Valerie and Don!

Ok I'm biased as my anniversary is October 18, but I truly believe mid-October weddings have a special kind of magic. Diana and Dan had the most spectacular, magical, epic kind of beautiful October wedding day. Congratulations!

Oh hi there wedding season! Tomorrow Nicki and I kick off wedding season #16(!) and man are we ready to go! We both truly enjoyed our time off - Nicki had an epic adventure in Patagonia with .global, and I spent an unforgettable two weeks traveling in Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia. We are more than ready to capture the smiles, laughs and joys of our 2024 Pittsburgh wedding couples. We do still have some fall dates open. If you, a friend or family member are getting married in 2024, it may not be too late to include video. I truly believe it's the best way to tell your wedding story!
