Some of my favorite wedding photographs aren’t necessarily the ones where everyone is looking at the camera.
They’re the moments in between. The way you look at each other when nobody is paying attention, the laughter with your friends, the little interactions with family, and all the things that happen while you’re simply enjoying your day.
Of course, I love creating beautiful portraits and finding those little editorial moments. But I also want your gallery to feel like your wedding, not just a collection of perfectly posed photographs.
I want you to look through it years from now and remember not only how everything looked, but how it felt to be there.
That’s always what I’m chasing when I photograph a wedding.

A little something we’ve been excited to share. 🤍

For years, you’ve known us as Kate Grutsky Photography. But behind so many of the weddings we’ve photographed has been Mike, creating films and capturing an entirely different side of the same day.

So it felt like time for our name to reflect what we’ve actually been doing together.

Introducing Kate Grutsky Photo & Film.

I’m Kate, and I photograph the day. Mike is the one behind the films, capturing the movement, voices, and moments that make each wedding its own.

We approach things a little differently, but that’s what makes working together so special. Two perspectives, one team, and a shared love for telling people’s stories.

Our approach isn’t about turning your wedding into one long photoshoot. We want you to have beautiful, romantic photographs, a film that brings you right back to the day, and plenty of time to actually enjoy the people you brought together.

The name is changing, but the people behind it aren’t. And we’re really excited about this next chapter.

I love the little details couples put so much thought into.

The invitation suite they spent weeks choosing. The flowers that brought their vision together. The handwritten notes, the family heirlooms, and all the little pieces that made the day feel like theirs.

They’re easy to overlook when the day is moving quickly, but years from now, those details can bring back so much about that season of life and all the excitement leading up to it.

I photograph them with the same care I give the big moments, because they’re part of the story, too.

And when everything comes together in a way that feels true to the couple? That’s my favorite kind of wedding day. 🤍
