My name is Julianne and I'm the founder and photographer behind Scarlet Roots. I'm energetic, full of giggles, and I'm not afraid of getting knee deep in a cold, swampy lake, in the name of an amazing photo. My favorite part about my job is connecting with people and helping them tell their unique stories. I love freezing those special moments of life, and gaining lifelong connections along the way. Jenna & AJ’s wedding was everything I love about Cape Cod celebrations — family traditions that brought all the sentimental feelings, toasts that had everyone tearing up, and that classic Cape aesthetic woven together with personal, one-of-a-kind details. 💕

Joyful laughter all day long, a tented reception glowing beneath the twinkling stars, and the beautiful Chatham coastline as the backdrop to it all. ✨ An absolutely iconic wedding weekend for these two. 🥂

When Caitlin first shared her vision of “coastal glamour” with me, I was immediately so inspired by the thought behind every little detail. 🐚

Pearls, sea glass blues, soft greens, silver shimmer - colors and textures pulled from the natural beauty of the Cape and woven throughout their entire celebration. From the invitation suite and florals to the light, landscape, and little details throughout Wychmere, it was so much fun finding all the ways her vision came to life and tying it all together through the photographs.

A perfect September day in Beacon Hill, celebrating Amelia & Cody at the Hampshire House, felt like something out of a movie. Between the cobblestone streets, historic architecture, and so much joy, this day was effortlessly timeless. 🥂

I used to live just a few blocks away, so every wedding that brings me back to this neighborhood feels especially nostalgic. It’s always a privilege to tell a love story in a place that holds so many memories of my own.

Every detail was beautifully brought to life by the incredible team at Mavin House, making the entire day feel as elegant as it was heartfelt.
