I know that these ordinary moments will be the ones my children treasure and remember forever! The muddy shoes, pockets full of trinkets and treasures, scraped knees, wild imaginations, running as with kites and long afternoons spent exploring the fields and the mountains.

So take the pictures. Let them get messy! Follow their curiosity! Explore! Preserve those childhood memories that will be filled with nostalgia for years and years to come!

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with having a budget! I know firsthand that family photography is an investment and not every photographer is going to be within your budget.

But I do think there’s a difference between saying “I’m looking for a photographer within my budget” and saying “in search of a cheap photographer” or “someone who doesn’t cost an arm and a leg”.

Behind that price is a person who has spent countless hours learning and perfecting their craft. They’ve invested in education, equipment, software, business expenses, editing, client communication and years of practice creating images you’re trusting them with!

You can advocate for your budget without diminishing someone else’s work.

And photographers, your work has value! Your years of learning have value. Your time has value. Your artistry has value! 🤍

Had the honor of having the most incredible maternity session up in the wildflowers! 🌸🌷 This session honestly could not have gone better! The wildflowers were in full bloom, the sunset was warm and stunning and this couple was such a joy to be around! There’s not much I love more than photographing a baby bump and feeling the excitement of this new chapter they’re about to invoke in! We had such a wonderful time and I am so in love with these photos! Can’t wait for them to meet their babygirl here very soon! 🎀
