MISSIONARY PHOTOGRAPHY SPECIAL

There are some milestones that deserve more than a quick phone picture.

And the bittersweet goodbye before heading out to serve.

As a mom, I know how quickly these seasons pass. One minute you're taking pictures of your little one, and the next you're standing beside a young adult, trying to hold back the tears as they prepare to serve the Lord.

I love seeing those I photograph grow and mature. I remember photographing Samantha for her baby blessing. And now, years later, I had the privilege of photographing her again as she prepared for her baptism.

It is such a special thing to be trusted with these moments in someone's life. From tiny babies to growing kids, graduations, weddings, and all the milestones in between.

These are the photographs that remind me why I love what I do. They aren't just pictures. They are pieces of someone's story that they get to keep.

I just realized I hadn't shared many pictures from Kenna & Riley's first look and couple's session that we were able to do a couple of weeks before their wedding at the Payson Utah Temple.

It was SO nice to slow down, relax, and take these pictures mid-week during golden hour, a few weeks before the wedding. It meant that on the wedding day, we could focus on celebrating the day itself without feeling rushed trying to fit in all of the couple's portraits.

If you're able to do a separate couple's session before your wedding, I highly recommend it! It gives you a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera, enjoy some beautiful pictures together, and take one more thing off your wedding-day timeline.
