This Father’s Day session was a little extra special because it was my own family in front of the camera 🤍📷

As photographers, we’re usually the ones capturing everyone else’s memories, but every now and then we get to freeze moments that mean the world to us too, and how exciting it is for me to be able to do that.

Watching my littles laugh, play, and soak up time with their dad reminded me that the little moments are often the biggest ones. The silly faces, the playful teasing, the hand-holding, and the quiet connection—those are the memories that matter most.

Fatherhood isn’t always about grand gestures. Sometimes it’s simply being present, being silly, being strong, and being the safe place your children always run back to.

So grateful for these memories and this crew of mine. 🤍

🤍 Behind the camera is not where I’m usually most comfortable… but every now and then, I get reminded how important it is to step in front of it too.

I didn’t get the chance to take Mother’s Day photos this year, but looking back, I realized I don’t need a special occasion to celebrate the people who mean the most to me. These moments—my kids growing way too fast, the hugs, the laughter, and the love we share every day—are worth documenting just as they are.

As photographers, we’re so busy preserving memories for everyone else that sometimes we forget to make sure we’re in them too.

I’m so grateful to have these memories with my family. One day these photos will mean even more than they do now. 🤍

Joey was an absolute goofball the entire time, full of personality and playful energy. Watching him interact with Natalee was something special. The way they understand each other without having to speak a single word is the kind of connection you can’t pose or force—it simply exists.

From the playful moments to the quiet ones, every image tells a story of trust, friendship, and a bond that runs deep. 🤎🐴

I honestly can’t get enough of this session. The beautiful light, the Spanish moss, and these two together made for pure magic ✨

Today, I’m sharing something that is very close to my heart 🤍

As some of you may know, my dad is currently fighting cancer. Watching someone you love walk through this battle changes you. It reminds you how precious every moment is and how important it is to preserve the memories that tell our stories.

Because of that, I want to give back in a small way.

I am offering a complimentary photo session through Salt + Light Photography Co. to 3 warriors who are currently undergoing chemotherapy, actively fighting cancer, or who has fought and won their battle.

This isn’t about perfect photos. It’s about honoring strength. It’s about celebrating resilience. It’s about capturing the love, courage, and beauty that cancer can never take away.
