Like a toddler feeling grass on their feet and not knowing what to think, this owlet reacted the same way!😂 It would take high steps like it was trying to avoid touching the grass. It was hilarious to watch!

As my friend and I were visiting and watching the cavity for the second baby Barred to appear, this newly fledged Barred...

As my friend and I were visiting and watching the cavity for the second baby Barred to appear, this newly fledged Barred that was way up high in a tree, fell to the ground right next to us! It then proceeded to get its walking legs going and explore the area! As it started getting close to a parking lot, we got about 20 feet in front of it to make it change directions and head to a tree in the park. Feeling nervous that we blocked its path, it spread its wings to look bigger and scare us off. It is now a turkey owl!😂🦃🦉ps~ We stayed until we knew it had safely climbed up a tree! Both babies are still thriving! Steele Cty
