Spotted this beauty along the highway on our way to our grandson's football game... because you know I can’t pass up a good barn. It’s a classic white gable-roofed bank barn with a concrete lower level and a long lean-to shed off the side. But what really catches your eye is that geometric barn quilt block pinned high under the peak, standing out sharp against all that white paint. While people have painted farm signs for generations, the official barn quilt trail started back in 2001 in Ohio when a woman painted one on her barn to honor her mom's quilting. It turned into a movement, and I'm sure glad it did. It's just simple, pretty, and worth stopping for a shot...as long as we were not late for kick off! 🏈
