She’s witty, smart and brilliant in every way.

Every year on their birthday, we stay up and tell the story of how each kid was born. Last night after the story, we pulled up old Facebook posts of things that the kids said over the years. Ginny were some of the funniest quotes I’ve heard and I’m not just saying that cause she’s my kid. 😜

I don’t know about you, but we’re feelin’ 22!

Here’s the rest:

#20 - Support each other’s dreams, no matter how weird or outlandish they might seem. This doesn’t mean they will happen- but when you dream with them, they will feel seen.

#21 - It’s important for each of you to be doing something you love. Make sure you help the other know you support them in this.

#22 - The bed doesn’t have to be made perfectly and the dishwasher can be loaded wrong and it doesn’t mean the other person is a bad person. 😆

Bonus advice! lots and lots of therapy 😅😅😅 Growing up together is an amazing gift, AND ALSO, growing up together has its own challenges. Invest in therapy together and by yourselves.

Oh! And document everything of course, so you can look back on your lives together and be grateful for how far you’ve come and get excited for the future ⭐️

The more I talk to people in the wild, the more I think of the computer game minesweeper. You never know what is going to unlock for you and also some of the landmines that you might encounter.

As an introverted person, my natural instinct is to avoid having conversations with people especially ones that I don’t know really well.

With all of the events happening around graduations right now and then with the summer gatherings, I’m choosing to lean into minesweeper and making it a see what kind of relationships there might be to uncover.

How do I even begin to describe the JOY that we had last week at the Simply Me Art show gallery experience?

So many thanks to the Oroville State Theatre for the always gorgeous venue, Oroville Hospital for sponsoring this year’s event, and Golden Valley Bank for donating the sparkling cider and snacks!

We also had special appearances from a 6-student ensemble from the Las Plumas/Oroville Alliance Band and amazing servers from Nelson Avenue Middle School’s CJSF students.

This event coincided with an elementary student art show put on by the Any Given Child initiative here in Bitte County.

Feeling so grateful for these kids, their families and our community to have access to experiences like this in our region.

Any other busy moms out there trying to just *keep it together* and then you realize that you’re feeling overwhelmed because there are so many unanswered emails and things that need to be responded to but you don’t know where to start you you decide to just sit and spend 10 minutes on cleaning out your email and then suddenly everything feels more manageable???

I always tell parents not to worry if their kid doesn’t “behave” because honestly, I don’t either 😆
