In France we say, “Mariage pluvieux, mariage heureux” — rainy wedding, happy marriage. 🤍
Rain on your wedding day is said to be a sign of good luck and a symbol of fertility ✨ and I wish nothing less for these two beautiful newlyweds.
Personally, I LOVE photographing weddings in this kind of weather. Somehow, you always get the most candid photographs. You can see the genuine happiness on people’s faces, everyone gets a little closer, and everything just feels more intimate.
This wedding, and the images that came from it, felt soft, elegant and effortless — without trying to do too much. And then we had our beautiful bride wearing the brightest baby blue Converse, which might have been one of my favorite and most original choices of the day. 🩵
Everything felt intimate and was such a pleasure to photograph. Everyone there was radiating happiness for this couple, and love was definitely in the air. 🤗
