One year ago today, the theme park world changed forever.

Epic Universe opened its gates and somehow managed to make even lifelong theme park fans feel small again in the best possible way.

Not because of the rides. Not because of the technology. Not even because of the scale.

Because of the feeling.

The feeling of walking through a portal and completely forgetting reality exists outside of it. The feeling of hearing a soundtrack swell at just the right moment. The feeling of standing still for a second because your brain is trying to process how something this immersive can even exist.

As photographers and storytellers, this park has been one of the most visually inspiring places we have ever captured.

Every corner feels intentional. Every light placement matters. Every land transforms at night. Every frame tells a story.

And honestly? One year later, Epic Universe still feels like stepping into the future.

The theme is "Our Power, Our Planet," highlighting the role of communities in driving the clean energy transition, protecting public health, and ensuring environmental stability through local action. So here’s what we’re thinking: a huge part of Themed Shots is about capturing theme park magic, right? But what if we flipped the script on the way?
