10 years 🤍📸

Ten years ago, I picked up a camera and unknowingly started the greatest adventure of my life.

What began as Gabz Photography grew into Gabriela Photo + Video, and today lives on as Nexum Photography. Looking back, it’s incredible to see how much has changed... and how much has stayed the same. That little girl with the toy camera? She never stopped chasing stories.

Over the last decade, photography has taken me farther than I ever imagined. From Puerto Rico to Florida, across mountains, coastlines, cities, and countries, I’ve had the honor of documenting love stories for the most incredible people. Every wedding, every elopement, every session has become a small piece of my own story too.

To every couple who trusted me with your memories, every family who believed in me, every vendor who became a friend, and every person who has supported, shared, referred, or simply cheered me on... thank you. You are the reason I’ve made it to this milestone.

And to my family... thank you for believing in me long before I believed in myself. None of this would’ve been possible without your love and support. 🤍

Ten years later, I still get excited every time I pick up my camera. I still celebrate every sunset, every happy dance, every new destination, and every story I get to tell.

She was in Florida on vacation with her friend… meanwhile, her person flew all the way from Canada with a ring and the biggest surprise waiting on the beach 🥹💍

She thought it was just a beach evening with her friend. No hints. No suspicion. No idea he was even there.

Just a quiet blue hour by the ocean that turned into one of the biggest moments of their lives 🤍

The running towards him, the happy tears, the nonstop smiling after… this is exactly why I love documenting proposals. You can’t script reactions like these 📸

And honestly? The way they looked at each other after the “YES” said everything!!!

Future beach walks just got a little more permanent 😂

The true candid moments of connection are what wedding photography is truly about. The hugs, glances, smiles, tears, laughter, kisses, goofy moments, and the exchange of words. 🤍

The moments that happen in between the “big moments” are usually the ones people hold onto forever. The squeeze of a hand before the ceremony. Your best friend trying not to cry. Your parents looking at you like time suddenly slowed down for a second. The uncontrollable laughter during cocktail hour. The hugs that feel a little tighter that day. ✨

That’s the magic of wedding photography to me... preserving the feeling of being fully surrounded by love. Not forced. Not perfect. Just real! 👈🏼
