Join us for a special community screening of "Healing Ribbons, One Stitch At A Time" an award-winning short documentary celebrating the voices, stories, and cultural knowledge carried through the community.

This 25-minute film takes us into the lives of urban Indigenous women, tracing the resilience, shared wisdom, and intergenerational connections that flow between past traumas and present-day community life. Directed by Margaux Towne and produced in partnership with Vision Maker Media, the film premiered at the 2026 Omaha Film Festival, where it received the award for Best Overall Short Documentary.

Featuring: Kim Bedford, Sierra Buffalohead, Trinity Eden, Octa Geller, Judy Genovesi, Tami Buffalohead-McGill, Anitra Warrior, and Valery Killscrow-Copeland.

Following the screening, guests are invited to stay for a live panel discussion with storytellers, culture bearers, and project leaders featured in the film. Together, we'll reflect on healing, cultural preservation, intergenerational knowledge, and the power of community-centered storytelling.

This event is free and open to the public. Tickets must be reserved in advance - seating is limited. Reserve your seat today! https://bit.ly/3QbQAEG

Donations are warmly welcomed. Every contribution directly supports additional festival submissions, travel for storytellers and culture bearers attending screenings and speaking engagements, and continued cultural preservation work through Healing Ribbons. Your generosity helps these stories reach wider audiences while honoring the people who shared them.

We're grateful to our community partners and everyone who made this event possible.
