Yesterday we spent the day in Boone meeting with one of our couples who is getting married later this month and it was everything my heart and soul needed.

We started with the best coffee at our local favorite coffee shop, followed by dinner at our favorite spot and then we adventured to Bass Lake and then we finished off the day by hiking our absolute favorite hike with the most killer views.

AND!!!!!

We had the entire mountain to ourselves last night.

I dont think I stopped smiling.
I dont think I stopped saying how stunning it was.
I dont think we stopped standing in awe over how incredible the view was, the weather and the beauty of the sunset.

We had the best time with Garrett and Zoe and I'm over here wishing we could keep adventuring with them today.

Let me tell you somethinggggg!!

Two weeks ago we got on the phone with Kate to plan out her session and y'all I was so humbled when she told us how she found us, what stood out the most about us and why she hired us.

We got off the phone and felt equal parts of gratitude for what we do and the things that we get to be a part of, but also immense joy that in that moment a person we had never met could see in all of our photos the passion and the drive behind what we love to do and what we strive for.

Fast forward to last week when we actually got to meet her, Jody and the cutest little boys and I left even more thankful for what we get to do if that is even possible.

Her dream for their session was lots of candids and her and Jody hanging out with the boys so we chose a location that felt like home for them. We wandered straight for the creek where the boys spent time chucking rocks in the water and then we walked to a little opening on the lake where the boys could still throw rocks in the waterway but we could also roam, adventure and let the boys be themselves.

Little Krew made us all work and get our steps in but I loved every single moment that we got to be a part of their tiny chaos.

These moments that we get to freeze and give back to people will be some of the most priceless moments for me.

Zach and Haley made it official at the courthouse on Friday, then ran away to the mountains on Saturday to celebrate this new chapter with their parents and each other in the most beautiful way possible.

All week long, the forecast showed nothing but rain.

We checked it over and over again hoping for even the smallest window of light.

From pouring rain projections and actual rain on the drive up, it felt impossible.

But standing on top of Max Patch, God gave us exactly what we needed at exactly the right moment. The clouds parted, the mountains lit up, a full rainbow appeared in the distance, and for a little while it felt like heaven touched earth.

On top of the mountain, surrounded by their parents and the people who know and love them best, Zach and Haley shared intimate vows with one another that felt so deeply personal and intentional.

No distractions.

No performance.

Just honest promises, quiet tears, laughter, and two people fully committing themselves to each other in one of the most beautiful places imaginable.

After the sun had disappeared and the mountains faded into darkness, they ended the evening in the parking lot by washing each other’s feet. A simple but powerful picture of love, humility, and serving one another as they step into marriage together.

So much love. So much passion. So much joy in the middle of uncertainty.

What a reminder that sometimes the most meaningful moments come after the storm.

Tucked away in the mountains of Western North Carolina, Val + Ryan spent their wedding weekend exactly how it should be spent fully present, wildly joyful, and surrounded by the people they love most.

They said “I do” right on the creek at Brown Mountain Beach Resort with the sound of rushing water in the background and the mountains wrapped around them. The entire day felt like summer camp meets the best party ever, barefoot in the creek, unplugged from the world, laughing till their cheeks hurt, and soaking in every single moment with friends and family.

Val’s girls were the ultimate hype team all day long, and Ryan kept everyone laughing with the funniest, wittiest one-liners from start to finish. These two are a blast and the kind of couple that makes everyone around them feel lighter and more alive.

The whole day was bursting with vivid color, happy tears, creek water, dancing, and the kind of love that feels effortless and deeply rooted all at once.

What a blast of a wedding day Val and Ryan!!

Screaming today over the fact that THIS is our job and we literally have THE best clients!!

Last night we met with Hunter and Shaylee and the first thing they said when we greeted them was, "I feel like we already know you!"

Can I tell you what an honor it is that when we meet you guys in person that some of you already feel like you know us!? That is such a huge goal for us and something I pour my heart and soul into.

AND if that above didn't just make my whole night last night, we had the best time with these two as we roamed around Fred Howard Park finding new spots, laughing about all the things and wondering why we never get to a beach near sunset more often.

Last night was truly a dream and I'm sitting here smiling ear to ear and finding it almost impossible to pick my favorites from their session to share because it's the sweetest and most killer gallery.

CANNOT wait to celebrate these two next year!!

From the moment we arrived, Mary was all joy, smiling from ear to ear and soaking in every moment. Javier kept us laughing with a first look fake-out courtesy of one of his groomsmen, and from there the day unfolded with so much heart.

Their Catholic ceremony was rich with beauty and tradition, and the celebration at Nova 535 was pure energy, unforgettable dance floor moments, DJ Sparks keeping the party alive, and so much laughter woven into the night.

But what stood out most was the spark between Javier and Mary. The way they look at each other, the emotion they carry, the joy they invite everyone into, it was something special to witness.

What a gift to capture a day so full of love, meaning, and a whole lot of fun.

Sweet Friends!!

In THREE WEEKS we will be headed to North Carolina for the summer even though we have spent a good chunk of this year between both FL and NC.

Once we are there we will have limited phone service as usual and we will not have access to all of our normal things. We will still be editing and cranking out galleries and videos, but beyond that we will have limited access to all the things.

IF you need something specific, PLEASE, PLEASE reach out to us BEFORE May 8th so we can assist you however we need to.

After May 8th we cannot guarantee anything until we come back at the end of July.

Lastly, we are headed into a week straight of chaos between one last FL wedding, meetings, sessions, end of the school year things, end of year testing and preparing to leave, so response times may be slightly delayed so please bear with us ❤

Let’s talk about Saturday!!

I’m not even sure there are words for Saturdays wedding and hopefully the pictures convey the joy, the fun and the laughter for Jonathan and Stacey’s day.

Since we hung out with these two at the Biltmore last summer for their engagement session, I’ve counted down the days till we could hang with these two again and Saturday was every bit of fun that their engagement session was and then some.

There’s a lot I could say but these are the few things that stood out to me the most from their day:

1. I don’t know if a groomsmen party will ever top this crew. We laughed so hard we couldn’t breathe, and when they asked me to play purgatory and to get ready for the video and the photos I’m not sure what I was expecting but it was the best dance party. I’m still smiling as I write this!

2. Two years to the day of Stacey’s wedding, her sweet grandma passed and while we all cried when her momma put her grandmas ring on her hand I know her grandma was there. It was evident in the fact that we somehow got lucky enough to hit the peak moment of the butterflies since they were swarming everywhere that we went.

3. Spring has officially sprung in the mountains and the difference from two weeks ago to Saturdays wedding was astounding. The way that life was breathed back into this little spot on the creek is quite breathtaking. Stacey and Jonathan hit the jackpot and it couldn’t have been a more perfect wedding.

Can we do it again!??
