Man you guys.....

We get and have some of the best clients!!

Yesterday might have felt chaotic between dealing with unexpected downpours even after obsessively checking weather before driving two hours, clients rounding up doggies who thought it would be the most fun time to escape the fence as they were leaving, having a newer camera completely malfunction 15 minutes before closing all while having a security woman counting our shots and telling us repeatedly how many minutes we have left.

It was the most wild session but hands down one of my favorite and most fun sessions of the year! We had the entire Bok Tower Garden to ourselves (thank you thunderstorms), we got to be really handy and shoot a few iphone photos because we didn't have enough time to run back to the car to grab the second camera body I miraculously happened to bring (can you tell which one is an iphone shot... I promise we are professionals lol) we got to run the fields, and best of all......we got to surprise Daniel and Hannah with the greatest and best surprise of telling them someone paid their photography invoice for their wedding next year!!

PHEW it was a night, but I can tell you again how fun it was with Daniel and Hannah!?? Last night was everything I didn't know that I needed and I am so grateful to have clients who roll with us, who let us play and clients who teach us how to be carefree. What a gift!!

AHHHHHH!!! Screaming over yesterday!!!

Buckle up for a story because this is such a good one and one that has made us teary eyed and has made us felt so so honored and chosen.

Back at the beginning of June, Zach reached out to us about photographing his proposal and we sadly were not available due to us being in North Carolina for the summer.

After multiple attempts of him trying and asking if we were available during the summer months, our response was sadly still no and here’s our favs that are local UNTIL almost 1.5 weeks ago when he reached out to us again in hopes that we might be available and guess what!???

We were available this time!!!

We hopped on a phone call the following day and chatted through the details, his vision, a little about their story and how we were going to pull off his proposal.

Fast forward to yesterday when it came time for the grand proposal and honestly guys, I’m still sitting here in awe, still sitting here so thankful and honored that Zach was so persistent and patient for us to be here and capture his proposal. It was hands down worth the wait and so sweet!

He proposed at their new home that they just bought a few months ago so that when they look back on this moment they can remember where it all began and then we hopped over to John Chesnut and grabbed a few portraits of the newly engaged couple.

It was the best morning and the best kind of adventure!!

**FAMILIES!!!**

Can you believe September is next week!?

Which means....

It's almost Fall and our most favorite season!!

Fall Session slots went out a few weeks ago, BUT we do have a handful of storyteller sessions left.

AND!!!

I know we asked what you guys were feeling and most people responded with the storyteller sessions, but I am also not opposed to swapping one of them if you guys want a few more mini sessions since those sold out super fast!

Happy 11th Birthday to our not so little guy!

I’m not sure where these last 11 years went but I am thankful that we get to raise a boy who is fiercely passionate, loves with his whole heart and adds just the right amount of spice and sweetness to our family.

Cole Isaac-we love you so much and are so glad we get to be your parents. Thank you for teaching us, raising us and showing us a whole fun new side of life! Adventuring with you and Paisley is the greatest gift.

Love you to the moon and back!

One of our biggest goals when documenting sessions or weddings is not only that we would capture something beautiful, but that when you look at one of our photos you would feel the joy, you would hear the laughter, you would be in the sacredness of the moment.

I had the hardest time picking sneak peeks from Tyler and Morrgan's day because in every single photo you could hear the laughter and you couldnt help but smile over the joy that radiated through them.

Tyler and Morrgan eloped last year on top of Hurricane Ridge in Washington State and then came to North Carolina last weekend to celebrate with their friends and family and man did we celebrate and have a blast!

Our weather was anything but ideal and defied all of our weather apps and despite having to adapt and adjust a lot of plans, Morrgan did it with a smile on her face and embraced every little moment and bit of change and honestly it made for the most chill and most fun wedding!

I dont know if there is a better way to end our summer weddings than with a day of celebration that held so much love, so much laughter and so much happiness.

AND you can please tell me how cool Morrgan's dress is!???

Instead of meeting every family at the same predetermined location, our new Storyteller Sessions will give you the freedom to choose a place that's meaningful to your family.

We'll have a small handful of fall dates for storyteller sessions to choose from (most are weeknights), making it easier to hopefully find a day that fits your schedule.

Something new is coming this fall...

For the past several years, our fall family sessions have looked pretty much the same, one location, back-to-back sessions, and lots of wonderful families.

But this summer reminded us of something.

Some of the sweetest moments happen when no one is rushing.

When kids have time to explore.
When parents can simply be present.
When laughter unfolds naturally.
When there's room to capture what makes your family...yours.

So this fall, we're adding in something we haven’t done in a long while.
