And I thought Telluride Airport was cool!

I’ve photographed Wilson Peak 100’s of times, but this one is extra special. Shot on a 100mb camera on a crisp early winter morning, the detail is incredible. The type of print adds just a touch of sparkle to the snow.

This one is framed in a deep float frame that gives it substance, while still appearing sleek when viewing straight on.

Flying into the Telluride Airport is not for the faint of heart. At an elevation of 9,078 feet, sitting atop Dove Creek Mesa, the Telluride Regional Airport is the highest commercial airport in North America. It also happens to arguably be the most breathtaking airport in the world.

Wind, weather, visibility, and the enormous mountains surrounding the runway all make for a challenging approach for pilots…and a bumpy ride for passengers. But upon arrival, one of the most beautiful places on earth awaits!
