TRADING SERVICES > spending money you don’t have ✨

Building a small business can feel heavy sometimes - and expensive. But one thing I’ve learned through being a creative is that community changes everything. 🤍

Photographers, hairstylists, bakers, aestheticians, boutique owners, content creators, cleaners, designers, the list goes on - we all have something valuable to bring to the table. And sometimes the best support doesn’t come from a paycheck… it comes from collaboration.

You don’t always need a huge budget to support each other. Some of the best opportunities and relationships are built simply by trading services and helping one another grow.

A photoshoot for branding photos.
Content in exchange for a service.
Marketing for products.
Creative work for self-care.

Supporting each other matters.
Showing up for each other matters.
Growing together matters.

I’m always inspired by what happens when small businesses choose community over competition. Because truthfully, small businesses were never meant to do this alone. 🫶🏻

If you’re a fellow creative or small business owner, I’d genuinely love to connect and collaborate ✨

To be completely honest, when I looked through these, all I could see was how I was “ruining good pictures of my son.” He was smiling or making the sweetest face… but me? I picked myself apart. Quietly believing lies I’ve told myself for far too long.

And I know I’m not the only one.

So many of us, especially moms, do this.
Our bodies have carried, stretched, held, and given more than we can even fully comprehend. We’re tired. Overstimulated. Touched out. We pour everything into everyone else and rarely have the time or energy to pour back into ourselves like we used to.

All we feel is the weight of decisions, emotions (ours and theirs), the constant mental load of remembering everything while still showing up for life.

And yet… we long for this season to be captured.
We want something that lets time stand still, just for a second - so we can remember the sound of their little voice, the way they reach for us when they feel unsure, the belly laughs that make everything feel whole, the way they say “momma.”

Deep down, we don’t just want photos of them.
We want to be in them.

Because one day, when they’re older and living their own lives, they won’t be looking for perfection.
They’ll be looking for you.
The way you held them. The way you looked at them. The love that lived in every moment.

But too often, our insecurities steal that from us.
We step out of the frame. We delete the photo. We choose absence over memory.

And one day… they’ll wish we hadn’t.

They’ll want every photo of you they can get.
Because photos don’t just show what we looked like - they bring back a feeling. A moment. A version of love they can step back into.

So this is your reminder - you are not “ruining” the picture.

You are the reason it matters.

Your body is not something to hide. It is proof of love, of life, of late nights and unseen sacrifices. Of showing up, over and over again, even when you’re running on empty.

Celebrate her. Honor her.
Stand in the frame.

Because long after this season passes,
they won’t see what you saw in the mirror,
they’ll see the way you loved them.

One day, these images will become proof.
Proof that you were there.
That you loved loudly, softly, tirelessly.
That even in the seasons where you felt worn thin, you were still their home.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the beautiful mommas out there 🩷🩷

There’s a quiet kind of magic here, where the world slows, and a little girl and a dandelion share a secret only they understand.

One breath, and a thousand seeds rise into the wind… each one a wish learning how to fly. ✨

Some moments you don’t pose.. you allow them to unfold, where light falls softly and love moves with quiet ease. 🤍
