Several months ago, I had the privilege of photographing these two love birds during fall mini sessions!

This week, we braved the World Cup crowds and I got to spend the evening capturing their engagement photos before their wedding this November!! 🥹🫶

We had THE best time!

The weather was perfect, they made my job incredibly easy, and their chemistry is one of those things you can't pose or manufacture. They just naturally have so much fun together!! 🥰

One of my favorite things about photography is getting to document people through different seasons of life! Sometimes it starts with family photos. Sometimes a mini session. Sometimes a newborn.

And sooooometimes, I get lucky enough to witness the love story unfold from the very beginning! 😭😍

One of the most common things I hear before an in-home newborn session is:
"The house is a mess!"

And every single time, I remind parents the same thing:

Your home does not need to be perfect!

Years from now, your children won't notice whether everything was spotless or whether every blanket was folded neatly.

What they'll see is where they were rocked to sleep.
The couch where everyone piled together for snuggles.
The home where your family grew.

The best newborn photos aren't about perfect houses or decorations in *just* the right place.

They're about documenting your family in this season and your REAL life!!

The sleepy newborn stretches.
The proud big sibling.

I ended this studio session with the FULLEST heart!! 🤍🥰

Watching this family interact felt so familiar, as their little ones are very close in age to mine! The big sis dynamics, the constant movement, the snack requests 😂😂 - it all felt so relatable!

This newborn session was also such a sweet reminder that the most meaningful photos aren't about everyone being perfectly cooperative and smiling at the camera!

Lifestyle photography is about documenting your family exactly as you are in this season. Your REAL life! 😅👏

The way your toddler reaches for the baby...

A little belated, but still so worth saying…Happy Mother’s Day! 🤍

To the moms in the thick of raising little ones.

To the ones staying up late, wiping tears, carrying the mental load, and loving their babies through every beautiful, exhausting season.

To the moms-to-be excitedly waiting to meet the baby growing in their belly.

And also to the moms-in-waiting.

The ones longing for a baby in their arms, grieving a loss, walking through infertility, or carrying quiet heartbreak that others may not see. You are not forgotten.

One of my favorite parts of this job is getting to freeze little pieces of motherhood in time.

The snuggles, the chaos, the tiny hands reaching for you, the way your children look at you with complete trust and love. The moments that feel ordinary now, but someday will mean everything!!

Motherhood carries so many different stories, and each one deserves tenderness - thank you for trusting me with these precious moments! 🤍

I haven’t shared much about my infertility journey here, but it’s a big part of my story...and it’s shaped the way I see every season I get to photograph. 📷

With it being National Infertility Awareness Week, it felt like the right time to share a little of my heart.

Every path to parenthood looks different. And if yours has included waiting, loss, or uncertainty...I see you. You’re not alone in it. 💜 (And my messages are always open if you need/want someone to talk to; I'm an open book)
