If you could freeze one ordinary moment at home forever, what would it be?

I’m looking for a few families for special discounted at-home sessions this summer, and I’d love to photograph:

I’m a photographer for women, but what I really do is create spaces where women feel safe.

On June 27, we’re taking that outside the studio and to the pool.

No judgment. No pressure. No “summer body” required.

Come as you are because life isn’t waiting for you to be more confident or comfortable in your skin.

And while I love giving women photos that remind them they were here, I also want to give them experiences that remind them they belong here.

So let me do the work of creating the space (men, kid, and judgement free.) You just show up.

The difference between photographing women and specializing in women is understanding that most women don’t need a photographer.

They need someone they can trust.

Someone who will tell them what to wear when they’re staring at a closet full of clothes.

Someone who will guide every pose instead of expecting them to magically know what to do.

Someone who knows how to photograph them in a way that feels flattering and still looks like them.

Because let’s be honest, most women aren’t worried about finding a photographer because they are everywhere, they are worried about whether they’ll like themselves in the photos.

That’s where I come in.

My job is to take all that overthinking off your plate with guidance, encouragement, showing you exactly what to do, and helping you feel comfortable enough to stop thinking about the camera.

The best compliment I get isn’t “these photos are beautiful.” It’s “that was so much easier than I expected.”

Because when you trust your photographer, you get to stop worrying and know that she’s got this.

Things women worry about before photos that have never once ruined a session.

Their roots.

The extra weight.

Not knowing how to pose.

A toddler who may or may not cooperate.

The fact that life feels a little messy right now.

I know those things feel big when you’re standing in front of the camera, but after years of photographing women and families, I’ve learned something:

The things you remember about a photograph years later are almost never the things you worried about in the moment.

You remember how small your child’s hand looked in yours.

The way your partner looked at you.

The laugh you didn’t know someone captured.

The season you thought you’d never forget.

The things that matter most are rarely the things we stress over.

So if you’ve been waiting until everything feels perfect, this is your reminder that the memories are already worth preserving. 🤍

Sessions I’m obsessed with: Part 3, The Evans Family 🤍

I’ve been photographing this family since their oldest was just one year old.

We’ve explored all kinds of locations together over the years, but this session might be my favorite yet.

At home.

No loading everyone into the car. No rushing out the door. No worrying about traffic or trying to keep everyone happy on the drive there.

I just show up at your door and document life as it is.

The kids played in the front yard. Mom and dad got to relax. Everyone was comfortable because they were in a place that already felt like home.

And that’s what I love most about sessions like this. They aren’t about perfect poses or forced smiles. They’re about the little things you’ll want to remember years from now.

Real life isn’t always perfectly posed but it is beautiful.
