Some ideas start as a simple conversation and turn into something even better than you imagined.

Months of planning, incredible vendors, beautiful details, and a shared vision all came together for this styled shoot, and seeing it come to life was absolutely worth it.

What I love most about shoots like this isn’t just the gorgeous florals, stunning tablescapes, or dreamy portraits. It’s getting to collaborate with talented creatives who are passionate about creating an unforgettable experience and inspiring future couples.

Every detail was intentionally designed to show what is possible when artistry, connection, and creativity come together.

There are engagement sessions that feel like work… and then there are engagement sessions like this. 🤍

From the moment we started, Stephanie and Tim had me laughing, smiling, and completely forgetting I was even working. They are the kind of couple who make everything feel easy. The kind who naturally fall into step with one another, who can’t stop smiling when they’re together, and who genuinely have so much fun just being in each other’s presence.

As the sun started to set and we wandered between the willow trees and the water, I found myself saying over and over again, “Okay, this one is my favorite.” Then five minutes later, I’d say it again.

Stephanie and Tim, thank you for spending your evening with me and for trusting me to capture this season of your story. Your love is joyful, effortless, and so much fun to photograph.

Some couples just have a quiet kind of chemistry that doesn’t need much direction.

From the moment we started, Sarah and David slipped so naturally into being together. The laughter came easily, the conversations never stopped, and every time they looked at one another, you could feel just how comfortable they are in each other’s presence.

The sweetest part of this session wasn’t the poses or the beautiful light. It was all of the moments in between. The way David pulled Sarah in a little closer. The way Sarah couldn’t help but smile when he looked at her. The way they simply enjoyed being together.

These two have built something steady, genuine, and full of joy, and it was such an honor to capture this season of their story.

Sarah and David, thank you for trusting me with these memories. I loved spending the evening with you both and getting a glimpse into the love you share. I cannot wait to celebrate the next chapter of your story and photograph the day you become husband and wife.

One of the biggest misconceptions about engagement photos?

That couples need to know how to pose.

They don’t.

In fact, the most natural engagement photos usually happen in the moments between the poses.

The laughter after a prompt.
The way he reaches for her hand without thinking.
The look they give each other when they’re talking about something only they understand.

My goal during an engagement session isn’t to place you in a perfect pose and leave you there.

It’s to create movement, connection, and moments that feel like YOU.

We’ll walk.
We’ll talk.
We’ll probably laugh a lot.
And before you know it, you’ll stop thinking about the camera altogether.

That’s when the magic happens.

If you’re worried about feeling awkward in front of the camera, I promise you’re not alone. Most of my couples say that before their session, and almost all of them leave saying, “That was actually so much fun.”

The best engagement photos aren’t about perfect posing.

They’re about connection.
